These routers typically have one port with static IP 192.168.1.1 and one that tries to get a dynamic IP via DHCP. Is the router connected to anything other than the computer you use to connect to it (i.e. another router with a DHCP server)? The easiest way is:
When you're done don't forget to restore the previous IP configuration on the computer.

I did this on my windows boot and I was able to ping it in terminal but when i went to type in the ip in the browser is kept saying out dated protocal unsupported. It kept changing the http to https even when I manually change it or type it correctly it would go back to https and say it’s unsupported. I tried asking chatgpt and it was no help.

That sounds like a TLS error. Is that an older router?
In Firefox, you can try to reduce the minimum TLS version. Go to about:config, type "security.tls.version.min" into the search bar. Double click the result and change the value from 3 to 1. You should later change it back since TLS 1 is unsafe.

It was my dad older router he used I could be between 5 to 7 years old. Thats what i remember seeing something TLS Error. It said TLS 2 was unsupported. How do I go to about: config?

Just type "about:config" (no space) into the address bar.

1 question how do i do the setup on eth0 if my other router isn’t connected? If I change my pc to eth0 I lose my access to the router.

Well, you need to configure the router properly. That can't be explained in a Reddit thread. ;-) Try using their guide:

Do I connect my main router to the console port?
Binary_Zero_AI@reddit (OP)
It worked!!

YESS!!! Thankyou so much!!!

Good. If you update the router to a more recent firmware it should hopefully work with modern TLS versions.

Are you directly connected to it via the eth1 port?
Binary_Zero_AI@reddit (OP)
My internet from my other router is going into eth0 and my pc is going into eth1 there is a console port for eth but idk what its for.
Slottr@reddit
Try the eth0 port - you can leave your other router disconnected for now
