Checkride reschedule

Hello!
I’ve been very lucky so far in my journey to never have to reschedule a checkride. I have my CFI initial coming up and weather seems like it could be an issue for it.
I’m planning on waiting until the day of the ride to talk to the DPE about a reschedule just in case something changes. Wanted to come on here and see for those of you that have had to reschedule for weather or any reason, how long it took you to get another day on the books?
I know it’s different for every DPE with their availability, schedule, etc. But wanted to see how long it took, or if DPE’s try to reserve days for reschedules? Have been waiting for 3 months now and hoping I don’t have to wait any longer than I have to.
Thanks!

DPEs are supposed to decline to start exams if you can't finish the whole thing. I've had DPEs decline to start the exam because the weather was iffy. I've had DPEs that are willing to start the oral on the belief/hope the weather will improve (it didn't). We discontinued. The one thing to note is that once you start the exam, you've got 120 days to finish it. That includes discontinuances or disapprovals. Fail to be found sat on all the required tasks in 120 days and ya get to take the whole thing all over again!

Checkrides have to be completed within 60 days. Temporary certificates are good for 120, maybe that’s where you’re getting that number?

You're right. It's 60.
