Is a rx6700xt reference card worth it over the 5700?

Basically I’m trying to build my first pc. Managed to find a 6700 reference card for around the same price as a 5700 (170$). I’ve heard reference cards usually suck though. Should I get the reference card over the 5700?

I'd get the 6700 for more modern game support. For example you won't be able to run FF7 Rebirth on the 5700

I'm still rocking a 6700xt! I'm not pushing it much with like Minecraft and Stardew valley, but it also handled BG3 with no issues.
