Ebike reviews: Everything awful.

Seems to me that most (All) ebike reviews I come across are really nothing more than influencer content.
I'm a (potential) new ebike owner and getting anything like a serious or useful review of a (any) bike seems to be impossible..
Basic stuff like bike fit, components, usability, is just ignored.
Manufacturers don't help either with product information being something of an obvious inconvenience.
It's really disappointing and makes the process of selecting one nr impossible.

Simple. Don't trust reviews trust yourself. Go to an e-bike store or two and check out some options. Hands on research trumps internet every time.

when you find a bike that interests you, see if you can find some long term reviews
I recently got a velotric discover 3 and the reviews I watched don't exaggerate anything, it's very good

most popular reviewers have conflicts of interest because they make money off the affiliate coupons or/and they got the bike for free. Also, if a youtuber is "too hard" on a ebike, it discourages manufacturers from sponsoring them.

I found great reviews before I bought my Aventon Soltera. The really good reviewers get traffic and revenue at least in part by being reliable. I looked at several bikes before settling on the Aventon

Go to an LBS.
Check 'em out.
LBSs are not stocking the cheap, problematic, eBikes.
