About the new 5800x3d

I plan to buy it in June when it releases, but I’ve never bought a new CPU or any PC part at launch before, so I wanted to know how difficult it is, do shortages happen really fast? Do scalpers buy everything? Do I need to pre-order or something? Also, how do I know if my PC supports it? I’m on AM4 right now with a 5600G CPU.
Also, do you think the 5800X3D would be a big upgrade coming from a 5600G? I wanted a better CPU for heavy emulators like ShadPS4 (to play Bloodborne, even with all the mods and fixes, my pc still stutters a lot and i think the new cpu would help with that), I also know that some newer games are cpu heavy, it seems like a good idea, but I’m not an expert. I also wanted to upgrade my GPU from a 6700 XT to a 9070 XT, so I guess upgrading the CPU alongside it would make sense too?

This is the first time a company has re-released a CPU like this.
We also dont know if the production is limited.
If you're dead set on getting the 5800X3D, its not a bad idea to get it ASAP.

There have been special editions before

It's really hard for us to know. It's all about supply and demand. We have no idea how much supply AMD has ready on day 1. But, I know the demand will be high because a lot of people still want to upgrade their AM4 systems.
Check the CPU compatibility section of your motherboard's support page. It will tell you what CPUs are supported and what BIOS version you need.
The 5600G is essentially a laptop CPU. The upgrade will be significant.

Can you answer another thing pls? My Motherboard is a B450M Pro-VDH, i saw come comments saying that the 5800x3d would have problems with that motherboard due to VRMs, should i really worry about that? Changing motherboards now would be a waste no? I would have to upgrade to am5 and waste a lot more money for it to be worth it no?
aragorn18@reddit
I'm sorry, I don't know.

Its ok, ty for the help :)
PogTuber@reddit
I don't think you'll have any VRM problems

Waste of money. An i5 13600KF outperforms the 5800X3D and is cheaper.
PixelPete27@reddit
If they get it for $325 MSRP, it's not cheaper.

Not when the i5 is using DDR4 RAM it doesn't.

My motherboard is a B450M PRO-VDM, i think it doesnt support that i5 right?
