This guy from Adana/Turkiye blazed away his neighbor's house because of the ongoing noises (his neighbors refused to talk slower and argued with him). Does this kind of things happen in your country?

Why people say Crete has a bad reputation in Greece?
I read some commentaries saying it is like the Adana of Greece, why is that?
Lotofagos_@reddit
We call it Greek Texas.
Main reason is guns. Gun ownership is very high in Crete. Greek people like their guns in the deep south.
razvan930@reddit
What’s up with those lowered pickups in Crete though? Considering it’s geography and lack of suitable roads to actually go fast, it seems counterintuitive.
Connect_File_5523@reddit
Every household in Crete owns several guns. We call Crete the Texas of Greece , not just because they own guns , but generally the people there haven't progressed at all the last 30 years
Empty-Pace-4228@reddit (OP)
Ah, thanks for the clarification.
Does government do something to solve it?
Lotofagos_@reddit
No, it won't change. It's part of Cretan culture and there are no things like school shootings etc. in Greece so there's no need for the Greek government to intervene.

90% of the island supports the government, so they don't .

I read something about Romans being fed up with Crete due to the massive amount of pirate activity over there at that time.
Laranthir@reddit
Adana is the same in terms of progression rate and owning guns from what I’ve seen so far
Prod_Meteor@reddit
It's just rumors 😄

What soon? Will you be coming or will you be writing comments on reddit from the comfort of your silly room?
eddiewolfgang@reddit
Yeah man we do this with our neighbors all the time here in 🇺🇸. We actually shoot each other for a lot less than a noise complaint

There is Florida Man and there is Adana Man

Adana is a very special place in Turkey, a few years ago a guy from Adana had an argue with the sun because of the heat and ended up shooting at the sun. That's why the year after that, the vehicles of the municipality gave annonces saying "Please do not shoot at the sun!"
danRares@reddit
Totally normal! 🤘
Svez1@reddit
So Adana is Turkish version of Florida
yesilknc@reddit
Exactly
anduygulama@reddit
nope, florida is adana of usa
chrstianelson@reddit
Adana is the Florida of Turkey.
fatgirlcuddler@reddit
No, but it should, as a matyer of fact you should be legally mandated to
nickgev@reddit
Is this why the adana kebab is spicy?
Early-Show2886@reddit
That doesn't even happen in Thrace-Turkey LOL
Voldypants_420@reddit
Adana is like if you take Florida and feed every citizen in it with pure adrenaline.
Empty-Pace-4228@reddit (OP)
Yes, we should specify that it is Southeast of the country. Close to Syria. It is easier to get guns there.
In 90% of Turkey, using guns deliberately is very rare.
Early-Show2886@reddit
Yes, you're right about that. Do you think it’s more of a Syrian style than a Turkish one? After all, many people there have Syrian-Arab roots. So, the way of life there is actually quite different from what one typically associates with Turkey—or what do you think? Personally, I couldn't live there. Nah—Adana, İskenderun, Antakya, Hatay, and so on... No, I’d feel like a complete outsider there.

Calmest citizen in Adana:
yesilknc@reddit
Adana is like Florida of Turkey btw
TatarAmerican@reddit
ah just saw your post after posting mine: I think it's more like Florida is America's Adana. Adana is crazier. I've been to a wedding there, nothing in Florida comes close
TatarAmerican@reddit
Context: Florida is America's Adana.
