Ar45 is a different monster than a ar9. Way more finicky to make it work reliably.
What I had to do with mine.
Get new springs for the 26rds glock mags(sgm tactical)
Dremel a feed ramp in the barrel to help with jams.
Clean up the bolt face to take some burrs that were holding the round
Grind a little bit the extractor to create some clearance for the rounds being loaded in the chamber.(typical wedge round issue with ar45)
It finally runs reliable now with ball ammo… HP not yet…
This lower will take a lot of tinkering and customer-supplied parts to get running. Please do not purchase unless you are experienced at building AR45's and are willing to tinker with it.
The lower is proprietary assembled with a proprietary magazine catch and ejector, ready for all your standard AR-15 lower parts to build into a fully functioning lower.
I think they have to kindasay that for any non standard lower that isnt coming as complete rifle. Ar45s are kinda known to be finicky and need minor tuning
My thoughts exactly. Is this out of spec level of tinkering? Or PSA being aware that most of their customer base isn’t smart enough to build an ar45 off a stripped lower?
Slap a non CMMG 45 upper on there and you'll be good to go. Adjust buffer weight accordingly. Be aware there are no factory Glock .45 cal magazines aside from the standard handgun sized ones. Only other options is the Kriss Vector extensions or SGM Tactical (weak ass feed lips). We tried an SGM Tactical mag in an AR45 build but it cracked the feed lips off the mag.
So the way I understand it: you can throw an RDB barrel/carrier combo into a 9mm setup no problem. .45 RDB seems to call for a different magazine height or something. It has been awhile since I tried it out and ended up just buying a CMMG MkG lower because it was all sketchy af.
Both have different carrier heights. Video is what I did to covert my EPC. Lowering the mag height is much easier than cutting out the cam catch (though really EPC only mod).
Buy any complete upper, or build your own. Build it like a normal ar15 lower (special parts are already installed). Might have to tune buffer weight if your upper doesnt say what to use.
This PSA lower was $65 shipped to me (I'm the FFL), that's decent and similar to what I paid for that NFA C-45 lower last year when they had a discount going on their site.
There is a report of multiple handgun sale to the same buyer within 7 days. Industry-standard ATF rule, generally applies to lowers because they can be built into handguns. Space your pistols out a week or more and it doesn't apply.
I sold all my 45s otherwise id jump on it. Glock mags are also not factory made in higher capacities as far as i know, aside from that the price is great

Just what I needed, the last piece for my 10mm build. Thanks.

Thanks for adding your experience. Really contemplating a 10mm ar45
Buck50hzd@reddit
How much "tinkering" is actually necessary?
NewbRedditer@reddit (OP)
It comes with ar45 specific parts pre installed, should just slap a ar15 lpk and upper on it and be gtg. But who knows
IllSkyHelix111@reddit
did you notice the disclaimer?
PapaNoffDeez@reddit
yea but did you read the thing that says:

yes

Must… resist… my wallet hurts too much already VA got my CCs fucked up.

Unless you’re capped on other calibers this might be the least worry

I feel this so much.

Same

Just give me a deal on a .45 Kriss Vector and let me be done with it.
RoyalSteele@reddit
Is this a good deal? What would the build cost? Is there really a lot of tinkering required?

You can actually get the CMMGs working with tinkering, though only worth it if you have a fixed ejector.
I have an EPC-9 I modified to accept RDBs,those ejectors wear in the old style RDBs..
I have a banshee 10mm RDB and they never released a fixed ejector version, so it's replacing ejector springs ever 2k rounds.

Kriss Vector extensions are no problem?
Buck50hzd@reddit
They work great. Easier to buy them all together as one
tirus89@reddit
Did your SGM mags not come metal lined?

Bcg here for $30 https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-ar45-bolt-carrier-group-7789153.html
RedHineyMonkeey@reddit
Is this at least a decent bcg? Price says hell no
RoyalSteele@reddit
Link isn’t working.
Mcmert@reddit
Tinker with the linker
NewbRedditer@reddit (OP)
Should work now, idk what i did
Kavod_Custom@reddit
In for one. Already have a 10mm AR using a new frontier armory lower so I'm willing to give this a go.
Bubbly-Celery-4096@reddit
Are 10mm and 45mm lower the same?
Kavod_Custom@reddit
Yes, same lower. The 10mm just takes a .40S&W bolt carrier and 10mm barrel, otherwise it would be the same parts as a .45 ACP build.
Bubbly-Celery-4096@reddit
That is something I am interested in, since I already have 10mm. Good price for this lower?
Kavod_Custom@reddit

Is there reporting requirements if some one buys a bunch of stuff? lol
Really want to tinker with PCCs

Thanks for the info. I bought a few KAK blem lowers to may take a break from this then lol
Kavod_Custom@reddit
Here's the lower I had used the last time: https://firearmsdepot.com/new-frontier-c-45-lower-recvr-45-10mm-stripped-billet-black/
Bubbly-Celery-4096@reddit
Really want to grab this but I just grabbed a few lower from FFL for pick up
RoyalSteele@reddit
Is there no Glock style drum mag for this?
Bubbly-Celery-4096@reddit
I was just about to post this but didn’t know how to add flair lol.
Wondering if it’s worth it with this. I don’t own any 45acp guns

The Kris Vector 45 mags hold 30 rounds. They're basically glock 13 rounder with extension and they work great.
Bubbly-Celery-4096@reddit
I’m trying to look if this can some how work with 9mm
MK12Mod0SuperSoaker@reddit
Nope don't bother
