I need help trying to figure out how to install the audio drivers in a freshly installed Windows 98 SE. This is a Toshiba 2065CDS.

Did I have to install sound blaster 16 drivers first in ms-dos? 🤔

Oouuuf I could instantly tell that was a STN display. Nice nostalgia, horrible legibility though.

There are some Toshiba drivers on archive.org.

Awesome there was actually ONE result when I searched my laptop model and it has pretty much every driver imaginable for every toshiba model!! Just had to burn the drivers to a blank cdr and transfer it over that way but all good now!! Thanks!!

Looks like it's an ESS ES1978S chip. Either look for the specific driver for that laptop or try another one for the same audio chip.
