Muslims aren’t a monolithian entity devoid of nuance and rationality. There are significant nuances depending on where you are and who you’re speaking to. Muslims also practice aspects of Islam they agree with. It’s why quite a number of Muslim countries produce alcohol. It’s also why a number of Muslim counties have discouraged and prohibited the headscarf.

Humans on an individual level are incredibly complex. To extrapolate hardline religious views to a population of billions of people is low IQ.

I speak to friends and associates who live in Muslim countries and I often tell them about how some people in the west see Islam and Muslim societies as a whole. They’re always bewildered by how outlandish the descriptions of their daily lives are lol.

It's not about religion to be honest. Dogs don't groom themselves like cats so you never know if a dog is clean or not so we feel the need to wash our hands if we come in contact with a dog. We also change our clothes if they touch them and/or their drool gets on them. But it's more about our culture of needing to be clean at all times. You can check the surveys about washing hands in Europe. Our country has the highest percentage. When it comes to religion though it's a very vague rule. It just aligns with our own culture when it comes to dogs and being clean.
