First the 3000$ handheld and now this. Asus is really doubling down on the high end scam products. But it seems there are always enough rich idiots around to buy this shit.

3000W.... Let's pretend it's 80% of that.
2400W / 120V = 20 Amps
Better have a 30A breaker in that room so you can run this fancy new monitor as well.

Luckily, most of the world uses 230V, so no need for a 30A breaker in most of the world.
Trashbagok@reddit
Where are you getting 3000w from?
Honestly it just occurred to me that I don't think I've ever heard of anybody having a separate breaker installed for a high-end PC but I feel like we have exceeded the standard 15 amp wall socket some time ago.
diemitchell@reddit
This goes beyond high end PC and is just straight up 4 5090's and a threadripper if You need 3000w

Yep. Gotta unplug the dryer or the oven.

Exactly. It's so crazy that I completely understand your question. I'm running something like this for AI, and it's a LOT.
It's hard to imagine this will be a new normal.
Trashbagok@reddit
I mean I don't know what you have going on but after reading the article this is some severe bleeding edge case.
When I was first looking at it I was thinking this was a single GPU that was going to pull 3,000 w somehow.

12VHPWR go brrr, do you think the OLED screen can show you an alert when it starts melting ?
