"I'm not Picard!"
"No... you're much easier to provoke."
Proceeds to never provoke Sisko again

He'd be disappointed in Sisko for that one.

Doubtful. Picard more likely would have been like "well had it coming." There are plenty of things on the other hand that Picard would have been utterly disgusted by.

We know Picard willfully disobayed orders from time to time, but has he ever explicitly committed any war crimes?
Because Sisco's saveragy in battle giving Worf pause is one of my favorite moments maybe in all of Trek. Certainly in DS9.

Given he's killed for less I don't see why he wouldn't have killed his commanding officer on the spot. But I guess that would have been the end of the show.

They could have kept going with Kira in charge. Kind of a Jellico situation where a less suitable replacement is sent and the story makes the CO a secondary character while the rest of the senior staff takes the reins (from the audiences perspective), carrying on as before but with growing friction against more formal Starfleet oversight.
Meanwhile, Michael Dorn gets his Worf show – basically The Fugitive In Space – except he totally did it but the audience is still sympathetic because he's the by-god Son of Maug. They haven't really done a non-ensamble ST show, have they?
This sub is a constant source of exciting fan fiction ideas.
When Worf tells Picard, "If you were any other man, I would kill you where you stand." Do you think Sisko is included in "any other man"? Iirc Worf is intimidated by Sisko, but does he respect him?
MindlessNectarine374@reddit
When does that happen?
Fabulous-Sea-1590@reddit
First Contact, I think. Picard is going unhinged about fighting the Borg, Worf questions him, Picard calls him a coward, and that's Worf's response. It's a tense moment.
I can't quite recall when it was mentioned that Worf is intimidated by the Sisko, I just remember Dax telling him in his office on DS9 and Sisko smiles with satisfaction.

I'm disappointed how few people interpret it this way. Do you really think a Q could be hurt by a punch? The Q we know is too much of an ego to let it happen.
The scene plays like a farce, not a real fight, and the fact we don't see Q again in DS9 is surely evidence that Q wasn't impressed by Sisko.

Picard: Wait wait wait, all I had to do was punch you and you'd leave me alone??
Q: What can I say? I've got a glass jaw!
somewhere in the background Worf pulls his hair out in frustration

Except Sisko was never going to be buddies with Picard after Wolf 359.
alcanthro@reddit
Right because he's broken and mental health services haven't improved since the nows.

I mean, look at all the counseling they have given to O'Brien? Basically none and the man has seen so much shit.

It was his eternal punishment for the country bumpkin Irish folk episode.

"Jolly good show."
Nefarious_Nemesis@reddit
Well... to be fair... it could be canonical. Star Trek loooves to watch Star Trek whilst they're Star Trekking.
