Interesting. I have a PWS upper with a Trek II (so definitely a high back pressure can) and I was outrunning the lever on an arc fire even with the gas closed all the way up. This was with an A5H2 and flatwire. I think shifting to an A5H4 and a green spring will do the trick. Thank you

Yeah I would for sure say no less than a5h3 (sorry, meant to say a5h3 and not just h3) but realistically may be up to a5h4 for yours. Good luck, love the a5.

It’s funny since in semi it is very smooth, but it definitely is at the edge of regular and overgassing. This is with the BCM T2 weight and the Tubb flatwire specifically. I would get bursts of maybe 10 rounds at like 900 RPM cyclic and then dead trigger.

Get the H4 and replace the tungsten weights with those from a standard carbine buffer you probably already have in the parts bin in to make it an H3, or H2.

Anything over h1 should have tungsten weights, you can swap them between standard buffers and A5 style buffers, same weights, just knock out the roll pin on either one

I don't think VLTOR made H4s that don't use tungsten. Figured it's just an outdated price. Other sites like Revival and FCD have the H4 for $106.26 and $137.26, respectively.
