The Federal Reserve is Why the People are Unhappy

People do not experience the economy through government statistics. They feel it through rising prices, increased debt, and lost purchasing power.

The FED didn't enact tariffs that have artificial inflated prices. They didn't start a war that's doubled gas prices.
I don't think the FED is the problem
Live_Taste_7796@reddit
Do you under stand how much the military and other government programs are costing us rn? The FED printing money irresponsibility robs citizens of their purchasing powers. If people dont understand this one fact, the US is going to collapse.
OddlyFactual1512@reddit
You said a lot that is factually untrue.
Live_Taste_7796@reddit
No i didn't, read my other response
DigitalMonsoon@reddit
First, the FED doesn't print money. That's the treasury.
Second the FED isn't starting the wars. Why are you trying to blame the FED and not the people actually doing the insane spending?
Live_Taste_7796@reddit
We have to look at the root cause, not just the symptoms. Politicians start wars (duh) and enact tariffs, which disrupt supply chains and shift prices around. But tariffs cannot cause permanent, economy wide price hikes on their own.
True inflation is the artificial expansion of the money suply, which is the Feds doing.Congress creates the deficit, but the Fed monetizes the debt. Without the Fed acting as the financial engine of the state, the government could never afford to fund endless foreign interventions or multi trillion dollar corporate bailouts.
The Fed is the ultimate enabler of big government. Through the Cantillon Effect, the newly created money funds the military industrial complex first, while devaluing the purchasing power of working citizens last. You cannot oppose state overreach while defending the central bank that finances it.

The FED printing money is a euphemism for base money creation, the vast majority of which is created by the FED. The FED is mandated to attempt maintain a 3% rate of inflation, which is responsible for the majority of the erosion in the value of the dollar.
DigitalMonsoon@reddit
Sure, you can say that but I have no way to know the person I was talking knows that. Especially when they think the the FED is the thing causing the most inflation right now and not the 25%+ tariffs on every major producer in the world and wars that have doubled gas prices.
My gas prices didn't go up because the FED changed some monitory policy, neither did my groceries, or my appliances or my new car.
RagnarBateman@reddit
The war was started because of the Fed. Hint: petro-dollar.
DigitalMonsoon@reddit
No, it didn't. It started because our idiot of a president was trying to distract us from the Epstein files and his clear involvement in them. They guy sexually assaulted children and to hide it he invaded Iran.
OddlyFactual1512@reddit
They also didn't give the filthy rich and corporations tax cuts in 1981, 2001, 2017, and 2025. They didn't start wars in Afghanistan and Iraq based on falsified evidence of WMDs. Hell, they didn't do any of the things that put us in this situation, except illegally bail out silicon valley banks a few years ago.
Phaylontis@reddit
They also bailed out the banks after the housing crash in 2008. They are primarily responsible for the compounding expansion of the money supply. So while most of the short-term inflation was not caused by FED policy, the vast majority of inflation over the long term is the result of their policy, ad stated in their mandate.

Might be war sending oil prices through the roof too
RagnarBateman@reddit
And when you look into it the war is because of the Fed...
alterego200@reddit
Correct, the US is fighting to keep the PetroDollar strong.
JestFlamez@reddit
Gee, I wonder what chain of events could have lead to it being threatened in the first place.

Wisdom is too low in the country to flourish.
skiphandleman@reddit
By design, I'll add.

Fed Reserve is why we're not on Zimbabwe inflation levels right now.
