All tampon applicators should be changed from plastic to cardboard. To save the turtles and environment.

The cardboard applicators absolutely shred my vagina. It hurts. I love the environment but plastic applicators is not something I will give up. It hurts a lot. They don’t go in smoothly.

Ouch I hate cardboard applicators wtf.
I don't love using plastic applicators either. I mostly use period panties.

wym ew??? do you wipe your own ass without washing your hands or something? nothing unhygenic about absorbent underwear

If you're worried about the turtles, use menstrual cups. I never understood how anyone could get those cardboard applicators to work.

I’m not and I got a dink.

If you’ve never used a menstrual product, maybe.. stop commenting on menstrual products?

How about be quiet for a while.

Not crazy, tampon manufacturers take note! And sadly non applicator tampons can be coated in polyethylene which while possibly safe i still don't want to apply it internally.
AwkwardlyAmpora@reddit
definitely crazy. the plastic is already too dry for me, i couldn't stand cardboard.
erraticsporadic@reddit
aren't the applicators meant to be inserted into the vagina in order to get the tampon in there in the first place? i can't imagine that would be safe or comfortable. i don't have a vagina though so i could be wrong lol

Cardboard is so uncomfortable though. Menstrual cups would be another eco-friendly option
chellebelle0234@reddit
I can never get cardboard to completely let loose of the tampon, so no fucking thank you, OP.
kk1289@reddit
Exactly! And it's so difficult to get it into the right spot, even when it does release
_fly-on-the-wall_@reddit
cardboard is painful

These things are niche here anyway.
