Driver Examination Report

I haven't been stopped by DOT in 10 years at least.
I was stopped today, and he did a level 3. Under violation he wrote speed 6-10 over.
He claimed I was doing 72 down a hill in a 65.
He gave no ticket, and no written warning.
Is this the written warning or just the results of the Level 3?
The only reason I ask is they pull my safety bonus for a few weeks and it'll come to like $500 for the length of time.
Just curious how pissed I should be.

I'm in a 2025 cascadia. If cruise is set to 65, the will automatically use Jake brake at around 70-72. I can perfectly see you going 6-10 over.

That is exactly the type of written warning that counts against you. It will be on your PSP report and it will come with CSA points for the company.
You also can't really dispute it, since it was a warning that means there will be no court date.

If its not on paper it never happened. Or its in the PD files that only they have and can see.

Its on the level 3.

Then get the lube out

If it’s noted on an inspection, it is a violation and will be reported as such to CSA. Far as I’ve been told, you can’t fight it either at least not easily.

How pissed should you be at the cop for putting it on the inspection? Or how pissed should you be at yourself for doing 72 in a 65 and losing your bonus?

I mean, I'm not really all that pissed. Find it difficult to say I was 72 for sure. Cruise was set to 68, I'm governed to 70 and I had 4600lbs in the box on a basic hill in Michigan. Not exactly known for the grades.
I'm more asking, as their policy says 6-14 is automatic 8 week loss of safety bonus which works out to just over $500 for me.
So I'm a little annoyed at the severity of the punishment for a non-contestible incident.

If it wasn't in writing anywhere, it didn't happen.
