Ebike sub that is moderated

Is there a community or subreddit that is a bit more serious about e biking? I browse this place, but lately it seems half the threads are from casual ebikers that own cars and want to explain US bike class differences. Mods don’t remove the threads and the conversations are just dreadful.

(Cenobite voice) We have such slop to show you

actually, most the post here are about how ebikes need to be treated like motorcylces and required licenses and insurance.

Yes I’m sure that you’re on the right side of the battle on complaining whether 15 year olds on surrons or 16 year olds in GMC denalis are more dangerous. I just don’t want to read it

i more mean the grown adults riding these things on sidewalks, not having insurance, going well over the 750w, 20mph requirements.

What exactly is your idea of what "serious about ebiking" would mean?
There's probably room for a sub that's more focused on the technical details of diy ebike maintenance or something if that's what you mean.
On the other hand, if you want something that's more focused on discussion of riding ebikes I think the reason that doesn't exist is that there isn't really anything that's specific to ebikes as opposed to normal bikes so an ebike sub is going to tend to be less focused on that and you might be better off just going to a more general bike related sub.

Things I’d be interested in:
Discussion of the semi solid state batteries being released. The new Aventon series with regen. Real world specs of the new rivian bike. Theft recovery. Even random posts about bike accessories. Anything practical at all to the average ebike rider.
Things I’m not interested in:
Boomers posting their dog in their lectric xp basket. B1ching and moaning about a kid going 29mph.
Is there a subreddit where I can have this
Odd-Lime-2738@reddit
Sure, just create one!
PlanetElephant@reddit
and now we have this low effort post to add to the mix

My other post is a top 10 this month but good one, very clever

This is the anti-ebike sub for people that hate ebikers. It's a great place to discuss how you always follow rules and how you wish there were more rules to follow.
If somebody wanted to start a pro-ebike sub with a focus on builds and modifications and a strict rule against scolding/Karen-ism I think it would be very popular.

100% agreed. Something like r/hyperebikes is a bit too niche imo, but this sub is so far off the deep end.

I love e-bikes and own several, but I’m not sure “serious” and “e-bike” belong in the same sentence.

There is good info here if you take time to wade through the karens spouting unrelated legal nonsense into every thread. I have deleted a few of those karens (and a couple have deleted me for showing em up) and their nonsense doesn't show up for me now. Of course there is nothing wrong with discussing the legalities, but just keep it to the threads that are discussing that topic.
Mods don't remove those threads because, technically, they are discussing ebikes. But maybe they could remove the comments that hijack threads.
There is another subreddit r/ebike which also discusses ebiking. It's not as active as this one, but it isn't as riddled with karens as this one is.

You are way to serious. The other subs are about the same. I skip the dreadful parts and read the not so dreadful ones. My car is broken down if that helps.
Pink_Moonlight@reddit
There's also r/bikecommuting if you want to discuss that.
TheKingOfSwing777@reddit
You probably just want to go to r/cyclists or something.
