what is your favorite car review video by the boys? for me, it is the CLK black video by Jeremy, that video might be responsible for making me genuinely fall in love with cars

cars became something more than just a machine, it became a friend with a soul, after i watched that video, it became my dream to just buy a car friend and drive it around the city at night without any purpose
over the years, every now and then, i go back to rewatch that episode, it is so beautifully made, everything about it is amazing.

Besides the V12 Aston… the SLR McLaren race to Norway.

Spikes C8. The first car review I ever saw that made really want a car so far out of my price range.

Jezza's Skoda Yeti review.
Every time I open my glove box and Sienna Miller isn't in there, I'm reminded I bought the wrong car.

i also really liked the carrera GT episode, they built up the entire episode hyping up that review, it must have been such a big deal back then

Seen most of the top ones mentioned so far, the ones I'll add would have to be Hammond in UAE with the final Murcielago (the noise of the thing, love it), and the McLaren 12C (what an intro).
Also a late entry, but Hammond did a review last year on YouTube and if you haven't seen it yet it's worth a watch, he nails it.

yesss its in my top 10 for sure

Oh wow that’s actually a hard one for me. The v12 vantage was probably the most poignant but I loved the clk black with clarkson, the zonda f with hammond, the laferrari one with may. The F430/F458/F12 were all fantastic reviews.

The Ariel Atom review was the first time I'd ever seen Top Gear at all. Maybe not my favourite, but the most unforgettable.

Oooo this is a hard one to answer because there are so many I like. To make it easier, I'm going to specifically keep it to car reviews only and not car films in general (they drove many older classic cars that were more like feature films and not reviews per se) -
TT 3.2 roadster, Crossfire convertible and 350Z convertible in Iceland - the cinematography of Iceland's vistas is MAGNIFICENT in this one, as is the editing and music choice. This is probably my favourite film of the whole show. And it's also the major reason why the mk1 TT 3.2 roadster has become one of my favourite Audis ever. Also I have some very personal and obscure reasons why I love this film so much, that might be too weird to say in public.
645Ci Coupe and XKR from the Pendine Sands film - I LOVE the location (the highlands around Port Talbot for the 645 and the Pending Sands beach for the XKR), the cinematography and music choice, and for the 645 in particular I love how James makes a genuine effort to be professional. Again, I have some personal reasons why I love this film.
E46 M3 CSL - I LOVE the location (Isle of Man), the cinematography and music choice in this one, and it also doesn't hurt that the car itself was also brilliant. This review pretty much single handedly made me fall in love with the E46 CSL. Once again, I have some very personal and obscure reasons why I love this review.
918 Spyder - again, I LOVE the cinematography, editing and music choice in this one and once again, this review is the major reason why I love the 918 so much.
Honourable mentions - Also I have some very personal and obscure reasons why I love this review, that might be too weird to say in public., F-Type, Sesto Elemento,

The Aston Martin V12 Vantage review. Something very poignant about it that still holds true today. Also, Jeremy wasn't that far offing in his comments.

Still gives me goose bumps to this day.

Yep, this is the one I was thinking about also. Let the car speak for itself, and with very few words, completely moved you

CLK Black is my choice solely for the noise it made going through the Follow-Through with Stig at the wheel. Amazing

Maybe not the full review, but there's a line Jeremy uses in the 911 turbo review (997 era) which honestly sends me every time.
He's basically doing a bit on the lifestyle of a 911 driver, shopping at fortnum and mason etc. He mentions that it has back seats so you can even take the kids to school.
He points out that there's of course naff all legroom, and says "...but you'd need pretty thin children to fit"
Before looking deadass at the camera and says:
"...but then again, you would have thin children, because you've got a Porsche 911...so you'd have a thin wife"

For me it has to be Clarkson reviewing the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante. That was peak car video, you could say he loved the car by the way he spoke about it with so much passion.
crackinmycrack05@reddit
He took this one to the black mountains didn't he. My favourite would be the F type review.

I loved how he announced that clip, paraphrasing here: ‘have you ever just, gone for a drive? Motorcyclists do it all the time… why don’t human beings?’

I think it has to be Jeremy on the Isle of Man in the e46 M3 CSL

Ferrari F12 Berlinetta Season 20 Episode 2 I think. Made it my favorite Ferrari. Truly a beast of a car. If it was really Jeremy or a stunt driver, there's a moment when the car catches a bit if air.
ja9512@reddit
For me it was when they took those three cars and were on that track in Italy, I believe. I don't remember what May and Hammond were driving. But Jeremy had that orange Lambo, and watching how hard it would shift gears at full chat was impressive.
phuoctr@reddit
For James May it’s 991 and singer in the same episode (his a110 comes 2nd), then Clarkson with the CLK black series (or the Vantage v12), and Hammond maybe the new Vantage on TGT.
61290@reddit
It's hard to say, but I think the Lexus LFA review sticks out in my mind as the review that made me genuinely think different about Toyotas (Toyotas were pretty uncool back then) and Japanese supercars in general. I wish the show was around to review the new one.
MatniMinis@reddit
TVR Sagaris because Clarkson is generally surprised at how much TVR have improved things but it's still batshit crazy 😂😂
