So I have not thought about that song in years. It was my band teacher's favorite song to have us play at jazz festivals when I was in high school in the late '90s. I played guitar in the jazz band so it was all me at the beginning before the rest of the band came in and there was absolutely no faking anything. If I stumbled at all everyone knew. For me at least I think that was the most insanely difficult song for me to play. Most of the song I had to strum on the upbeats and it also was an upward strum. Playing on the upbeats when everyone else was on the downbeats was a mind tease. My mind kept wanting to put myself in sync with everyone else. Then during the chorus I was on the downbeats and then back to the upbeats after the chorus.

I have not played that song in probably over 20 years and when I saw this post I picked up a guitar that was hanging on the wall and I still remembered the intro part.
