Oh man! I had a little 30 min VHS cartoon that went along with this. I always wanted the one that was a clock and turned into a turret.. Still do honestly. This was buried deep in my memories, thank you!
Still have the VHS in the basement somewhere. They left you on a cliffhanger and I guess it bombed cuz I'm not aware of any follows to the first cartoon.
Very much so, there was a lot of pushback on advertising to kids that ended shortly after Reagan came into office, and the era of advertising dressed up as cartoons began.

Yeah, I think a lot of cartoons back there were really just setups to sell toys. If the toys went bunk the cartoon didnt continue.
