Did some digging: this book was released in early 2024, which puts it in the "possible" range for AI composition, but the author has only released three short-ish books and none of the reviewers call out any of the hallmarks. I'd say that she's just a crappy smut author.

I have a friend who's into fanfic (all genres) and apparently you can tell what media the authors grew up with based on the prose. Expected, yes, but whats notorious is that with each new generation, it's reading less like a functional book and more like whatever is replacing actual book reading. lazy genz fics read like animated shows with very descriptive dialog, and now that gen alphas are teenagers, they now sound like LLM's because that's the kind of content they're exposed to.

I don't hate using a decente AI model to give you a draft and then making it yours by rewriting it. It's often a strong quickstart for those having trouble starting like me. The purpose isn't to misrepresent but to entertain. I'm not convinced there's a lot of men who think that porn is realistic. I keep hearing people claim that men think porn is real but I never encounter anybody who actually thinks that. I do think there are a lot of people with misconceptions about sex but I don't think porn is the cause of most of that. People have had insane bizarre ideas about sex since way before porn - just take a look at any religion.
