Dual-Ep VHS Releases

Did anyone else own random dual-episode VHS tapes of TNG? I had S2's Measure of a Man/The Dauphin and S5's The Outcast/Cause & Effect. My parents must have picked these up for me at some point as I don't think I would've chosen this particular combo as an eight year old, but I wore them out regardless!
Trekcore has a pretty cool archive of all the UK VHS covers here:

Moar Picard tiddies please.

I didn’t own them, but that’s how I watched the show when I was a kid: checking these out of the library.

Yeah I watched a ton of TNG episodes and the TOS movies that way

Oh lord. I had so many…

I even have a couple of Star Trek TOS Betamax tapes with 2 episodes per tape that Columbia House released (so “The Menagerie” was a 2-hour movie) that were also released on VHS.
Plus I had TNG and Voyager by Columbia House and I’ve seen the Deep Space Nine tapes.

I had them all, it was the only way to see the series.

I had a few of these. The one I really remember was this one, Season 7's Parallels & The Pegasus. Fantastic double-bill. Watched this tape so much.
I also
I also had the full set of 10 "TV Movies", which were the 10 two-part episodes edited into a single 90 minutes each. Some of the joins were a little sloppy – like you loose the tension of the "Mr. Worf, fire." at the end of BoBW part 1 – but overall I thought they were great. I wish they'd release these edits again in HD. I think my tapes all got sold/lost/given-away through the years.

I have every VHS from Contagion onwards from back in the day.

I had a few of these, but I remember being haunted because the kid across the street had the tape that had Suddenly Human on it, so every time I would go over he would say “You like Star Trek don’t you? Let’s put it on!” Which was a very kind thing for him to do but I HATED that episode and I still do!

That's a pretty gnarly VHS cover.

I'm not going to lie, maybe I'm just tired, but it took me a full minute and zooming in to understand what the fuck Picard was wearing...only to realize it was the face of the Dauphin monster. That design work is a choice.

That's Durotans crotch

I thought it was AI or some weird X rated spoof

Are you saying your don’t remember Picard’s iconic giant red breasts?

Well I’m not tired and it’s confusing to me as well. Not the best.

I had a couple. After Uk terrestrial stopped after S3 and satellite Sky tv got the rights. Couldn’t afford Sky at the time so picked up tapes that had special episodes like Relics or Chain of Command. I still remember it was like getting little peeks into a special world that very few people had access to ! Still get nostalgic when I watch the ‘other’ episode on the tape - the one I didn’t buy it for !

They really should have gone back to back with a matter of honor//measure of a man. Peak Riker

My aunt had what in my child age view was a huge collection of these. At least the first 3 or 4 seasons worth.

I signed up for Columbia house and they had their own branded versions of these - with the classic get one free and now you’re subscribed until you cancel. I got a few until my dad looked at the bill and it was like $20 each he was being billed monthly. That stopped real quick after that!

I had Haven and The Big Goodbye
That was my introduction to TNG. For some reason despite these televisual masterpieces it took a long time before I revisited the series…

I love this one, where they used a shot of the blue screen rather than the image that replaced it

I used to own all of these, I rmemember buying them when they first came out. I used to save my lunch money for a few days and buy them every fortnight when they got released.

Yes I remember watching When the Bough Breaks and Home Soil over and over. They were so expensive too- would have cost a fortune to collect the series this way and definitely not something I could add too as a ten year old.
