Zelenskyy presses US to send Ukraine more anti-ballistic missiles - "Russia attacked us by lots of ballistic missiles on our energy infrastructure, water supply, schools," he said.

I noticed that Zelensky has now requested the Patriot missile licensing. He’s probably trying to get $$$ to flow away from Raytheon and into the Fire Point company run by his buddies MIndich and Yermak. This is mafia shakedown stuff.

Maybe, but there's an undeniable military advantage to being able to set up domestic production rather than being reliant on importing your weapons from another country.

He is probably asking for everything he can before he flees. Having the licensing deal means he can charge some germany company for access and collect passive income while declaring himself ''president in exile'' and living in Israel or Switzerland.
I know he bought mansions in Florida but those are probably investment properties. Florida is not safe for him because there are too many Russians and Cubans there that are pro Russia unlike the Russians in Israel and Switzerland who are all anti Russia.

Most likely this is an escalation on Russia's part as a response to the drone attack on the Starobelsk College in Lugansk, where 21 people were killed and 42 people were injured, many of whom were teenagers between 14 and 18 years old.
With Belarus is now openly showing interest in participating in the war, it remains to be seen whether or not the United States is willing to prolong the war given their financial interests in the region will be at stake if Russia seizes those territories.

United States is compromised and will never help Ukraine. Thank god for uncle Joe, helped just enough for Ukraine to win.

Ukraine isn't winning. They've put up a good fight and Russia has had some Pyrrhic moments for sure. But Ukraine cannot remove Russia from Ukraine. See the problem there?
Ancient-Tax-8129@reddit
Lol. If Ukraine collapsed right now, Russia is still fucked. They lost a long time ago

Russia has preferential access to Belarus, a livestock exporter, preferential access to North Korea, a weapons exporter, and access to China, the largest economy in the world.
Not to mention everything Russia produces domestically without the need to import anything.
The Russians are doing just fine.

Yes and no. It's certainly been a loss for Russia in terms of global standing and broad economics. But, nobody really wins in war. The point is, Ukraine cannot remove them. My fear all along has been that this will eventually end under similar terms that it could have ended 2 months after it started.

Yes

Ancient-Tax-8129@reddit
Russia sure acts tough with only 2 cities to its name.
