Did I rob someone?

My friend just sold me his pc he never used for 300. he said he built it during a summer camp but never wanted it. after I got home and checked the stats they were great
* CPU: Intel Core i3-14100F
* GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6600-series
* RAM: 16 GB DDR4
* Motherboard: Gigabyte B760M DS3H DDR4
A budget pc but for 300 I think I got a steal. What should I upgrade?
Easy_Weakness_5968@reddit
The i3 cpu , would be my 1st upgrade.
Them another 16gb ram .
TetePepeF@reddit
def gpu first. just because it’s an i3 doesn’t mean it sucks

you wanna hear about robbed:
Lian Li O11 Vision Compact case 5x Wireless Lian Li fans, 3x Wireless LCD Lian Li fans Ryzen 7 7700x 3080 FE NZXT Kraken Z73 AIO 32GB Corsair Vengeance 6000 RGB Crucial 1tb SSD B650 Gaming X AX V2 MOBO MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 PSU
snagged it for $800 on FB marketplace
ComprehensiveOil6890@reddit
Great deal not a steal though. Gpu first CPU seconds and RAM last.
ICC-u@reddit
Not a steal? What could you build better than this for $300?
bugeater88@reddit
good deal, not THAT good though.
schrodingersOdderon@reddit
not as much as a steal as a very good friend price, he could probably get 400-500 for it selling online, but 300 is a good fair price for a friend
DidAnyoneElseJustCum@reddit
I would say not having to deal with shipping and knowing it's going to a good place is worth $100. At least for me it would be.
GuacamolePacket@reddit
This is what I call the friend deal. He didn't want it, he also didn't want to fuck around with 120 "do you still have it?" Texts. He would have taken 300 bare minimum, saw you needed it. Just let it go without the fight. I do this a lot.
Desperate_Put_4568@reddit
You mugged him and need to repent to the silicon gods.

In general, it's not robbing someone to pay they price they're asking for something. The only exception to that would be if they had some mental defect that you were aware of and choose to take advantage of. I mean I've sold stuff for less than it's full value or gave stuff away that I could have sold just because I wanted it gone and and it wasn't worth spending a week dickering with people to try and get every possible penny.

ngl 300 is a solid deal depending on the specs. if you got anything with a decent gpu in there you basically stole it lol. your friend hooked you up fr
aceofspades1217@reddit
I wouldn’t say robbed lots of stuff from that generation is selling for relatively cheap I would say the total value parted out is like $500-600 ish
But yeah good deal you can do a lot with that pc and play loads of games even modern games at medium
iceseayoupee@reddit
get a gpu and upgrade the ram
CtrlAltDesolate@reddit
Good deal, kind of discount I’d be offering as mates rates.
Probably sell in the region of 400 on open market, maybe tad below.
TickleMyFungus@reddit
No that's about what they cost.
Primus_is_OK_I_guess@reddit
Eh, that's a fair price. I would have probably listed that for $350.
timfountain4444@reddit
No, there was no robbery. It's an entry level system and will need a better CPU, more RAM and a better GPU and potentially a larger PSU to support those upgrades.....
Celatra@reddit
i think for 300 it's quite spot on, maybe more. upgrade cpu and gpu. 14600k and idk, 7800xt or 9060xt
Velmidos@reddit
Seems really like a deal.
Tbh id just upgrade the i3 for a beefier i5-i7, but priority on the GPU.
