Whst do you do to earn extra income while truck driving ? I trade stocks and make an extra $14k to $15k a month . I go home daily and dry van no touch so it gives me enough time to trade . I make $6k a month with drop and hook so I make a total $20k a month . Is this good enough ?

I trade futures avg 3-9k a month in payouts pull 11k a month from driving after taxes and receive 4300 from the Va for compensation so anywhere from 18-24k a month

How do u trade if ur driving all day? Im also a veteran getting into trucking but the most I’ve done is futures day trading on MNQ/MES using an opening range breakout; but reefer doesn’t exactly have predictable mornings/times I’ve heard and time zones.

My day is pretty flexible so if I’m driving I’ll stop for 30-40 mins for market open. I trade a lot during Asia session 7-10pm is decent. I trade nq sometimes gold if I’m feeling spicey. My avg trade is under 2 mins. 15 min orb setups. Bull flags that’s about it I don’t make it complicated. I watch pw bdh on YouTube trade I like to listen to his show so I can keep up with the direction the market is going. I trade 5 accounts at one time with Tradovate so I’m only looking to make a quick 20-40 points a day and I’m out small wins adds up lucid prop trading and top step are my fav firms to prop trade

Honest question. If you make 15k a month in stocks, and you understand the stock market that well, why do you keep trucking instead of focusing your mental and financial assets on running stock like a Wallstreet wolf?

hes a troll and its all fake

Because that isn't income. It's net worth. It does him no good unless he cashes out, which would then be heavily taxed for cap gains (unless rolled into a tax haven retirement account). Even if he did that, it'd still only be net worth. If he keeps that money in the brokerage n account even after selling assets to build the total, he is not taxed. In short, he cannot use the money for anything aside more trading or rollovers.
The taxes would be the exact amounts as if he was at a regular job. That income combined with his regular job's income would be combined, and that would elevate him into a different tax bracket without really anything to show for it in the long run.
This guy obviously knows all this, so why he alludes to having a large income is beyond my understanding. His only real income is from the job. THAT is what he lives on. The trading gains are not income until cashed out.

Capital gains from day trading are taxed the exact same as regular income. So an 80k income is taxed as an 80k income.
Capital gains for long-term investments are capped at an ever lower rate somewhere below 20%
mwonch@reddit
Yes. I did not mention this. Thank you for doing so. There is a time limit that must be reached, though. I forget what that is. After that time frame, it's the lower rate. Even better if rolled over into a retiement account and not touched until around 60 years old.

Why won't you mention the potential losses and big ass zero that you can have from potential mismanagement of your savings.
