Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans. I hate eating truck stop food.

The healthiest thing on that table is the wood the table is made out of

Where do you wash your pans and cooking utensils? And how do you find the time?
TheLoveButtonn@reddit (OP)
I have a collapsible sink in here. When I don’t feel like pulling it out, I use dawn power wash and water wipes. As soon as I park, I start cooking, no get in the bed and chill for a second. This was ready in maybe 30-45 minutes.

Hot hamburg sandwiches equals hot pull the fuck over I’m starvin’…
rvlifestyle74@reddit
Not bad. That's a lot of food though. You sharing with a lizard?
TheLoveButtonn@reddit (OP)
Lmao, I’m a girl so no lizards for me. I put the leftovers in ziploc bags so Tupperware doesn’t take up too much room in the fridge.
leadpoem@reddit
Girls can have lot lizards over too. There is no judgment.
rvlifestyle74@reddit
That's a fantastic idea.

2 meals one now and one on a plate ready to zap in the microwave tomorrow. In my experience lizards only eat meth and occasionally chips and donuts when they have to.

They love them some starbursts and skittles too

True enough.

A few days of meal prep. How do you handle cleanup after? Pots and pans cleaning.
Dropnhook@reddit
Using an air fryer works out to be pretty easy clean up…I was shopping at HEB they have a lot of pre portioned meals that you cook yourself and can cook most of it in it own little metal packaging. Food was comparable to OP’s dinner. I ate good OTR gained 25 lbs flatbedding some how probably all my Whataburger days tho.

when I was OTR i've always wondered how people did dishes when making food in the truck.. I had a rice cooker I filled up a old gallon water bottle for all the washing needs. hands, my rice cooker, and whatever else. still felt like a hassle lol.

I did once see a guy rinsing pans in a fuel island hose. That was back in the late 90s. 😂
forkystabbyveggie@reddit
Heat em up, pour water, bit of dawn.
Dump it out the window.

That Salisbury steak looks pretty awesome. Id like to make me some. Burgers are getting boring!
TruckerMoth@reddit
Unless I know the food is decent, I usually would rather go hungry than eat from these truck stops. It's garbage and you feel worse eating it then just going hungry
ora-et-labora-@reddit
That actually looks delicious. Enjoy your meal.

Put a sign on your door - Homecooked meal for $20. You won't have to worry about leftovers, it'll cut your food cost and someone gets a proper meal.
relievedmonarchy599@reddit
that actually looks way better than most truck stop slop you see posted honestly the gravy on that salisbury steak is doing work
opinionated_penguin@reddit
I gotta start cooking in the truck again…
ApexCrudelis@reddit
Is this a cry for help? You appear to be cooking truck stop food.
