Is it the thing at the back of the wing? It's hard to see in the photo.

It’s this little fold out propeller here

It's so tiny!
wfreivogel@reddit
I was looking for it hanging under the body.
Frogblaster77@reddit
Okay I thought so, thanks, looks much clearer there, might just be my internet or something.
PizzaDog39@reddit
That was the acceptance flight of D-ABPG to be delivered to Lufthansa in the coming days.
TastyCalligrapher421@reddit
Looks like a fairly new aircraft judging by the blue exhaust cones. Probably acceptance testing.
007meow@reddit
What do the blue cones indicate?
matierat@reddit
That it’s a new aircraft :)
All jokes aside, it’s a typical discolouration of newly built engine’s titanium parts due to heat treatments, etc. After a while the blue fades and turns into a grey/purple/brown hue depending on the temp.
tanktronic@reddit
A blue-ish hue, you say? Taking them to market? Two for the price of one?
IyadHunter-Thylacine@reddit
Well over longer use they turn more purple ish due to the heat of the exhaust the fact it's still blue mean it's still pretty new
markp_93@reddit
purple nurple

I do live in the flight path of Boeing so it may be
SaengerDruide@reddit
Who doesn't forget to close one's fly once in a time
Intelligent-Yam-3565@reddit
The RAT is deployed for every airplane's first flight.
Mumpitzjaeger@reddit
This is D-ABPG which still hasn't been delivered to LH probably undergoing tests.
