Looking for a good restaurant for 1 year anniversary.

Willing to hit really any part of dfw but prefer in or near Plano. I’m looking for a nice restaurant to take my wife for our 1 year anniversary. She really likes steak. My budget is $300 but I’m willing to go slightly above that for a really nice experience.

Knife in West Plano or EG Steak next to Stonebriar. Both are delicious and have the only steak I have consistently enjoyed in the area. Knife is great for a date night because all of the sides are shareable and their drinks are so yummy and unique. EG Steak has delicious variety and desserts. They also have top notch service.

We had a great experiences at Steve Field's for our anniversary.

My wife and I walked in there one night and I swear it was a swingers convention or something happening there.
JBTuffNStuff@reddit
Omg! That was certainly not our experience.

We went to Steve Fields for our anniversary last year and it was great!

Woodlands - restaurant is in a Frank Lloyd wright designed building. Great cocktails. The brownie dessert is amazing.

Oh yeah I went there for lunch once it was great.

Le Beef was a great experience that my wife and I had for our anniversary and surprisingly inexpensive for the multi-course, pre-planned meal

I can second this! The second time we went we got the steaks again, and for 15 dollars you can get a second protein. So we each got to try the chicken and the sausage in addition to our steaks

Tempted to go but we go for our dating anniversary. Hitting 10 total years together this year. They bought the orange cream cheesecake back so I might go. We went to the one in frisco the night we got married.

Nice! I'm addicted to that Friday pork chop deal, but have gone to the Frisco location for dinner a few times also.

Rise soufflé in Plano!
H0lyH4ndGr3nade@reddit
+1 to this. I know the OP mentioned steak, and I think Rise technically has a steak entree, but I have taken many many people to Rise for their soufflés and haven't had anything but rave reviews.
My wife and I celebrate all of our major milestones/events here!

Honestly I have had a really nice time at Nick and Sam's every time I've been in Dallas. They're very attentive and my steaks have always been tremendous. The sides and desserts are also delicious and the ambience is very romantic.

Del Frisco’s Double Eagle at Legacy West is always excellent for a good steak.
Bar Ranch is good - might be over the budget depending on what you get.
ParsonJackRussell@reddit
Is Bar Ranch open - I tried going for lunch last week and wasn’t open
TexasLiz1@reddit
ooh - beats me - that’s good intel

Bf and I really like the Brazilian steakhouse EG by Stonebriar. All the meats are so good I have a different favorite every time. About $65-70 per person I think? Try the picanha and the lamb chops!

For elegance, Arthur’s Steakhouse on Quorum Dr. My go to for special occasions.

St Martins Bistro. Fantastic steak, best lamb I may have ever had, but the champagne brie soup. Is the real star. We'll go back just for that.

I really like Kenny’s Wood Fired Grill over in Addison. It’s not as fancy as some other places, but the food, drinks, and service are great.

Something different that wife and I (28 year anniversary) did. Sir Le Table. You cook your steak dinner with others. Sounds cheesy but women like cheesy. Lol
KTX77@reddit
I did this years ago at a place in San Diego called The Strip Joint. I asked if I overcooked my steak could I do it again, and the answer was no. After that I decided that if I was going to pay that kind of money, someone that knew what they were doing could cook my steak.
