ULPT Request - abuser gets off without any time required to be served.

I was sexually abused by a (at the time) fellow student at my state run school for about 3 years. The court process has been long, and just concluded on Friday. From the time I reported it (as well as the other girls) we were under strict rules of where we could go in the school and during events and such like. Very little internal support was offered. Even for my last music ensemble performance ever, he joined the group on stage with no warning to me. His sentence is the equivalent of parole for 3 years, with the first half being stricter than the latter half. He did not show any of us mercy while he abused us. He did not allow us to finish our education at that school peacefully. Right now, because the judge (who is renowned for giving light sentences, focusing on the perpetrators future) decided that no conviction should be recorded, he is studying to be a teacher at uni. I am terrified for his future students. As well as this, many staff members wrote letters of character for his sentencing, up to and including the principal which does feel highly unethical. How can I stop him from hurting anyone else again, let him feel the pain I feel, and deal with the teachers who felt that a rapist who had already been found guilty at that point had such strong character that he should be given character references? QLD, Australia. I do want to go as nuclear as possible. I have spent longer in psych wards from Cptsd this year alone than he has seen the inside of a court room let alone a jail cell. I cannot see a future for myself without fear. The fear I hold for his future students is immense.

You're not going to like this answer, I apologize. I know this is REALLY easy for me to say, because I haven't faced the trauma you have.

I don't think nuclear revenge is the answer. I think this needs to be a long game kind of revenge. Take the time to work with a therapist to address this (understandable) rage you have against your abuser. While I completely understand it, it's not good for you mentally snd physically.

Wait until this asshole gets his teaching credential, girlfriend, group activity then send anonymous messages, letters, whatever describing what they did to you and others. Hopefully that will prove very "nuclear" to them in the end.

I think that is a good plan.

Therapy first to address the PTSD and any other conditions OP might have, and work with the therapist to help process everything that this evil guy has done to her, so she can keep her stress and anxiety to a minimum. Then go for the revenge of telling the people in his life everything they need to know in order to stay safe themselves.

Also want to add for OP here, it is truly vital to address your mental health ASAP, and don’t put it off longer than it has to. I was in a position where I wasn’t able to address a lot of my mental health conditions for a while, and the constant stress/anxiety from my conditions (including PTSD) caused me to develop some physical chronic health conditions that I now will have to live with for the rest of my life.. I’m disabled now.

I just want to make sure you know how important this is to address your mental health first before adding anymore stress like going after him for revenge right off the bat. I’m just worried for your health and overall wellbeing. If I can help others avoid developing chronic health conditions by telling them what happened to me, then at least that’s one good thing that came from it.

Also I am truly sorry that he didn’t get sentenced. That’s so twisted. I’m sorry that you’re feeling so unsafe and fearful since all of this happened. I hope you have a good support system, therapist, friends, family, pets, etc to help you through this immensely difficult time you’re in right now.

Please remember you are loved, valued, and worth SO much. You will get through this, it will be hard, but it will get easier overtime, and you will make it out of this. I’m truly wishing you all the best! 🤍

I am currently on an open psych ward because of cptsd and anorexia nervosa mainly, as well as finding the right meds for schizoaffective, the family curse under control . I’ve finally started trying to deal with my problems. It’s more around feeling safe and knowing all the people around him who could end up getting hurt.

OP, a judge that lets offenders off this way is almost certainly also an offender who has not been caught.

You need to keep the names and contact information of all the other women who were abused and stay in contact with them. If they don’t want to communicate, then just keep track of them in case they want to later.

This is probably going to take years.

When this piece of excrement is in a position where other women or girls are at risk, write letters to the mothers of all the girls telling them he abused (number) of women/girls that you know of , and got away with it, and they need to get their daughters away from him.

Everywhere he goes, let all the women and the mothers of all the girls know that he is a rapist. If the boss has daughters, then make sure he finds out that girls aren’t safe when that guy is around. The idea is to get him fired.

You can also make sure “rapist” shows up when anyone searches for his name, the way it does for Brock Turner the rapist who goes by his middle name Allen to try to hide from his raping past. Every time the rapist Brock Allen Turner is mentioned, the sentence includes that he is a rapist. When any employer does an Internet search about him, the most prominent thing is that he is a rapist. Nobody wants to hire a rapist.

Get everyone who was hurt by him to post that he is a rapist who rapes in every online mention of his name. Poison his name.

He should never be known for his grades or his looks or his skills; he should only be known as a rapist.

I’ve figured out how to report him to the uni (en masse with the other girls) but one had tried previously to no avail. How do you go about getting the Google results to name a person as a rapist though? This judge is renown for giving even adult on young child rapists 2 years or less. I’ll see if there is any way to complain about ethics there too. His current girlfriend is aware of his guilt and what he’s done, as well as her twin and mother. Hopefully his next one will be different, although I do just hope this girl stays safe.

The issue with the at is he was tried as a minor so I’m not sure about the legalities around that. I’ve gotten the suggestion to contact the media before; they at least have legal teams for this sort of stuff. They also may be able to apply pressure to the school over the letters of support people from principal level down wrote
