Why didn’t Brits mass-settle in Malaysia and Singapore, like they did in CANZUK, the US and South Africa?

The weather - it was too tropical.
We used Indians and Chinese for working class labour and only had a few Brits for military and administration roles.
Brits also lived in separate exclusive settlements (usually 'Hill Stations' which were a bit cooler). There wasn't much interracial marriage and hence no descendants.

noAgood question, i have no idea but my guess is "how many natives do we need to remove and how hard will it be?"

Couldnt have anything to do with the climate being 10° warmer

probably a factor, but seeomg as we are talking about two continents(aus/canada) it doesnt really apply. seeing as ones has a climate ranging from tropical to desert, and tghe other is a frozen hellscape, not sure what youre getting at

Most of them moved to america though, and clearly the ones wirh more nerve moved further north. Aus is bearable on the west coast

People were incentivised to move to Canada and Australia with subsidised settling programs. The US was early enough in the colonial era that people moved there by choice mostly.
In order to facilitate that kind of colonialism, there were also deliberate and long term efforts made to genocide the native populations to make space for settlers. This was costly in resources and manpower. Settling Austrailia and the Americas was in part about claiming it as "virgin land" and in part about securing it from the influence of other competing European powers.
Malaysia and Singapore were not seen as "virgin land" in the same way. These were understood to be established places, they were not part of the "new world", so to speak, but rather an extension of the old world. It was costly enough simply to maintain trading posts and to secure the routes with the navy because of the pre-existing competition in the region, let alone investing in depopulating those places for settlement.
To the East India company, the valuable thing about Singapore and Malaysia were their goods, already farmed and produced by the native people. The land wasn't of any value.

The tropics were considered a punishment posting because of the humidity and tropical disease. Even a lot of Brits who settled in India died
