Been a few days, but wanted to share these beauties
beatlz-too@reddit
I love the last one
"guuuys wait up!"
davidfliesplanes@reddit
3 F-16's, 2 F/A-18's (I assume Spanish or Swiss), 1 Rafale, 1 Eurofighter, 1 Tornado, one F-104, last one of the diamond idk. And another F-16 following them.
HF_Martini6@reddit
AFAIK the Swiss Air Force isn't currently flying in Greece.
I'm not that up to date anymore though
fslanding@reddit
Second group of 4, lead is a Grippen j39 , Rafale has two engines ...f104 is unlikely, I believe it's a trainer get with the last one some form a Learjet/bizjet modified for military use?
Peeterwetwipe@reddit
The one on the left in the rear 4 is 100% a tornado.
Thermobyte@reddit
Oh, good catch. Finnish air force operates Learjet 35A/S, similar to US C-21A.
davidfliesplanes@reddit
And the Hawk too I think
davidfliesplanes@reddit
Oh yeah 100% a gripen, don't know how I made that mistake. As for the F-104, there is one flying in Italy iirc, but yeah it's not a F-104 you're right about that too.

Rafael was pretty easy because of the wings. But how does one differentiate between F-16 and F/A-18? I guess the tails? Been seeing a lot of jets since moving here and got a bit into spotting.
davidfliesplanes@reddit
Hornet is larger and has two engines
hoppertn@reddit
That would be a hoot if anyone still flew F-104’s but the only ones flyable are civilian out of Florida now.
Thermobyte@reddit
That's a JAS 39 Gripen, not a Rafael. I think the last one in the diamond is a BAE Hawk, but I'm not 100% sure.

NATO tiger meet 2026 i suppose
Bearha1r@reddit
Just seen that one of the RIAT 27 themes is 50 years of Tiger. Should be good. Planning to hold my tickets for next year.
plsdontbanmeagain138@reddit (OP)
I actually saw them on the 10th of may. Just training before the big day I guess?
