Do I actually need extra security add-ons?

I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth adding extra security features to my car beyond what it already has. Between trackers, factory security, insurance add-ons, and all these mail-in protection programs, it’s hard to know what actually matters.

Dashcam - front and rear.
If you want a tracker, you can just throw an AirTag under the boot lining and forget about it.
Nothing else is required and is just there to fleece money off of you.

Do not respond to any offers of extra insurance or protection plans. These are horrible scammers. My MIL keeps getting that crap, and she no longer has a car!

You should talk to your insurance about the add ons, some anti theft devices like IGLA will get you discounts on your insurance bill.
