What should I know before renting a place as an international student from Central-Asia?

Hi everyone,
I am an incoming student, got accepted at BME & holding a Hungaricum scholarship (tempus not decided yet, but better be prepared), however, the accommodation is lcoated too far from what I found...
I would like to know how I can rent a place there, because I've tried Inglatam's website and the mobile application (it doesn't have the English language???) Anyways, I was thinking of staying in the XI district, closer to BME, closer or/and to a green area, and if my budget goes well, maybe next to the river.
My budget is 500-600 USD, including communal costs. I work remotely and make around 800-1000 USD (without seasonal bonuses, and I'm not working full-time, 4-5 hours a day), and will get around of +230-250 usd from Hungaricum
I do not know Hungarian, only recently started learning, started from the alphabet in order to pronounce words and get to know the culture :), besides I know 4 languages, popular ones are English + Spanish + Russian

Ingatlan is basically the wild west and most landlords won't even reply if you aren't already in the city for a viewing. Focus on the Facebook groups for flat rentals instead because you can actually message people directly and show them you are a serious student before someone else grabs the place.

600 USD is sadly (usually) not enough to rent your own flat, let alone in the 11th district, which is one of the priciest (Buda side is the expensive side, except from maybe 3rd district, but that can be a bit far out)
Ingatlan.com and Facebook groups are the main platforms, for the latter keywords are "albérlet" and Budapest. We use Facebook heavily compared to maybe what you're used to.
Anything in (approx.) this area should be fine for you, because public transport is very good and frequent.

oh it makes sense, and whats about shared rooms?? Is there a separate website

Ah and if the uni provides a flat option, it could be well worth to try that for a year or so, and after you familiarize yourself with life in Budapest and you get to meet people/friends in similar situation, you can start searching for better options.

Nah unfortunately everyone's looking for flatmates (lakótárs) on Facebook as far as I know 😅
But if you Google "roommate Budapest" you'll see some sites.
