Disposable vape legality

I run a gas station and customers keep asking for geek bars, as i am aware, the previous owner used to carry them, but got rid of them last year after a ban went into effect. I have seen many smoke shops and gas stations selling these disposable vapes, and the packaging says “ Made in Indonesia Designed in USA For sale in USA only Texas SB 2024 compliant”. However, after doing some research online, I don’t see that this ban was ever lifted. Don’t these disposable vapes need to be made in the United States to be allowed to be sold? or are these vapes somehow now legal/ I’m only asking because how are these other gas stations and smoke shops carrying them without any consequences?

NAL, but I have rarely heard of this law being enforced, if ever.
They will ban these by the brand and then the next day they will show up under a different name.
Banning flavored Juul pods was the biggest fail of the federal government. They banned something “safe” which led to a flooded market of junk products with who knows what ingredients. A friend of mine got nicotine tested and passed after vaping one of those disposable things for a while.
When I used to vape in college, I was vaping brands I could barely pronounce with no QC links on the package or lab tests. Meanwhile Congress was yelling at Juul……..

Pretty sure JUUL got targeted because Barron Trump got caught with one. I’m only part joking.

The ban only targeted disposable vapes made in certain countries, the biggest one being China. This is where pretty much most of the big disposable vape companies were manufacturing before the ban so they pretty much all had to be taken of the shelfs for a couple months. It took them a few months but now most of them also have plants in countries not included in the ban list such as Indonesia, so they are legal to sell again. The whole ban was honestly laughable.

This is it. The wording actually said vapes cannot be made in China and in other countries that are “foreign adversaries”. They also banned selling all electronic disposables that carry anything other than nicotine. So now places will sell THCA/THCP syringes with wax and empty devices. The customer has to put the wax in it themselves, since they only made the sale of them illegal, not the product itself.
SB2024 truly was a hilarious “ban” all around bc these products all came back anyways.
