How have you guys found remote work? I want to get paid like at least $2000/month. I can build mobile apps. I heard Linkedin is basically impossible to find a job. Are there any Github repos I should be aware about? What's the strat? The Reddits for remote work? Applying directly on the company websites? Anything else?

You have to be lucky to find one.
2000$ is a lot of money in many countries so there is no shortage of people looking for 2000$ remote jobs

bro thats 24,000 a year in us. thats like less than minimum wage

So?
It is over three times the minimum wage in Turkey, where you live.

That's the problem with being fully remote: US minimum wage doesn't apply to the 96% of the population which doesn't live in the US. Why would an employer pay US wages when they could get the work done for a fraction of that in Asia?

This isn’t US centered sub.
People of this sub hope to find remote jobs from high cost of living country like US or Switzerland while living in low cost of country like Albania.

How is your question expat related? Where are you from and in which country do you live now?

"cause expats often dont have a job"
You do know the definition of the word expat right? And that, in order to move to a different country, most peolme will need a visa and to get one that usually means they'll need employment in said country?

Thanks for clarifying. You didn’t mention that in your post, so that’s why I asked.

Remember that if you are legally employed then you will need to be paying/record taxes in the US (which you imply you are from) and then also pay 100% of your local taxes (Turkey). Otherwise, you are essentially stealing (taxes) from the community that you are living in. The company you work for will also need to have payroll taxes, and local taxes accounted for in your country, too. So with all that being said, it is highly unlikely for you to be hired when the expense for working with you would be so expensive.
Now, of course you can do this all illegally, but just make sure you understand that it is such.
