How has the Balkan’s corruption affected the world, especially Europe and the UN?

I found out recently that the Balkans is responsible for all the firearms and drugs that are spread to Central and Western Europe, they end up falling into the hands of gangs thus risking the safety of certain countries. A big example, Sweden.
Anything else surprising or shocking that some may know? There’s probably a lot of fascinating stuff I don’t know about yet

The illegal firearms in Sweden are almost exclusively imported from Serbia, not from ”The Balkans”.

Talking about corruption:
I live in Germany. In the city where I live they just build 150m of a wooden pavement for 15 Million Euro funded by EU and the city.

This is clear white collar theft, no way 15 meters of wood costs that much. But it would be improvement for us to get to only that level of stealing from the people

You cannot lump together all the mafias in the balkan like this, but if you do remember that USA and CIA play a huge factor here and especially in Kosovo. And don't forget Italian or Russian mafia as well, they are bigger then the "balkan" mafia

Basically all gun and drug smuggling operations across the world are operated by the Balkan mob by using a nifty trick called "why bother selling that shit on the streets if you can just act as a wholesaler instead"
