Is it worth upgrading to a Gtx 1080Ti from a Gtx 1660 Ti?

I'm looking for a card to replace my gigabyte gtx 1660 ti, but I'm on a build with only PCle 3.0 and I have a small budget (about €150 or less). So my question is whether it is still worth upgrading to a Gtx 1080 ti or another graphics card in the same price range. So does someone have any recommedations?

It's a significant improvement, but for about the same money you can get a 6600XT or possibly a 2070 Super which are about the same performance (maybe slightly less) but with modern drivers and raytracing support. Or if you can gather a bit more money try to find a good price for a 6700XT or 3070.

The thing about a budget is that sometimes you have to wait longer/to save longer, to increase that budget to something that makes a wee bit more sense in the long run. As you've got something currently, perhaps a bit of a patience will set you upon a path where you'll be happier with the results.
Does the EU have something like the UK's CeX, or The eXchange in parts of the US? A franchise store that deals in selling used games, gaming gear, computer parts where you can sell/trade-in for vouchers your current parts? They might have a nifty deal on something better, where you could trade-in your 1660 Ti and maybe other bits and bobs towards it.
I'd kind of lean towards the RTX 3060/3060 Ti/3060 12GB range which would runs in the £200-250 range. Yes, it's above what you're looking at spending now - but if you were to save up a wee bit more, I do believe you'd likely find yourself a bit happier with than than a 1000 series card. Hell, looking at CeX, they've got RTX 3070 8GB cards in the £230 range. I know that doesn't help you not being in the UK, but there's got to be something similar there that you can take a look at what they've got to offer that you might be able to trade some stuff towards reducing the cost and/or saving up a bit more.

10 series is on its way out with software updates. Try to find something from the 20 or 30 series. PCIe Gen 3 will not be a bottleneck as long as you have an x16 slot.

I have just seen more than one 3060ti for under £200 on ebay.

Save for just a bit more time and get a newer gpu

I'd save a bit more and get at least a 3060 for driver support and longevity.

1080TIs are almost a decade old. Wouldn't be surprising if a couple of weeks/months your newly bought card starts shitting itself. That's the main factor to consider. I'd honestly just save up and buy something like a 3060

Seems like a good upgrade

FH6 doesnt have driver supports for 10xx gpus so safe to assume future games will abandon that gpu generation as well.
Unless you dont care about future games then maybe its fine? Idk i dont feel like its worth it
