This is entirely contextual to the relationship you have with the person and your mutual expectations. If your mutual expectations are not aligned or you can’t agree to compromise, then you have an issue.

If I am awake I usually reply to messages from friends almost immediately.

The reason, rather than an excuse, I don't reply is usually because I'm not spotted the message.

Most things are fine, but Facebook Dating is particularly bad at not telling me that there is a match or a message.

“Soz, totally forgot to reply earlier, been so busy” meanwhile we both know this is a big fat lie and iv actually been scrolling through social media for the past 4 hours. It’s just adult life, can’t always be arsed to talk to people unless it’s urgent.
