Why do Slovakia and Slovenia have such similar flags?

Slovakia and Slovenia are obviously very different countries despite both being Slavic. Slovakians are West Slavs, Slovenians are South Slavs. Slovakian and Slovenian are two entirely separate languages which are not mutually intelligible. However, it is bizarre that their flags are so similar, with the colors in the same order and the same shield-shaped coat of arms only differentiated by the different symbol. Why did their flags end up so similar? Is it just coincidence?

Russia, Croatia, Serbia, Czechia and Sorbs also have similar flags, and so did Yugoslavia. None if it s a coincidence, obviously.

Both nations were artificially created by the Habsburgs, sorry to say that.
Though at least we have the honor of not having Hitler give us our first ever state.

Why do you have the Slovene user flair then? We obviously don’t exist, just slavenised Bavarians? And on top of that you live in Berlin
