If you are making fun of some other group its "just good fun and jokes, no need to get offended", but God forbid you make jokes that make their group the punchline or even just something like "dress like those people". For some reason you seem to only see people who say "that's offensive" as sensitive, not the people who will scream third grade insults at you.

Yes its true that reddit is more left leaning than the Balkans proper and that they will take offense to stuff Balkan people irl will not, but that doesn't mean Balkan people themselves are any less "overly sensitive", you are just used to it, so it doesn't stick out to you. Hell, for a less ambiguous example, see how people here react to the shit people write on r/europe. They aren't wrong for being offended by it, but they are literally reacting the same way they mock others for.

And no I dont believe shutting down places like /balkan_people_internet was a good thing, but what you've seen there isnt "what us non pussy Balkan people are actually like", its was a small subsect of people who were aware of that fucked up part of out mentality and made fun of it by being ironically over the top nationalistic. I cant stress enough how much Balkan people in real life aren't like that. Say some of the most common jokes there to an average Balkan person irl and the best outcome will be an awkward stare. Over-sterilization of reddit is a thing and its bad, but we Balkaners aren't "based and red pilled chads who dont get offended like those woke lefties", we constantly get our panties in a twist.

Also there is that thing where hate groups will take over online comuntites by posting "edgy jokes", which they and most other people unfamiliar with how they work will pass of as "obviously satire, since who would voice such an extreme opinion publicly". This is not some overly paranoid ramblings of an over sensitive SJW, this is actual advice people in these hate groups get given to take over comunities and spread their agenda. Hell, even subs like r/balkan_people_internet and r/2balkan4you had the problem of unironic nationalists pooping up occasionally.

You also seem to be under some sort of impression that just because our older people do something that its OK or should be continued. Like no, there are so many brain dead takes Ive heard from my family that for everyone's sake should not be perpetuated.
