$5,500 Daniel Defense PCC build

Well… $5,500 if using MSRP prices + tax
The reality is that out of pocket I’m at $4K actually. I got plenty of deals for example the actual gun I paid $1600 etc. Zero regrets tho. I really love it. Stupid quiet with the sub 9 and using direct thread.
boogaloojoel@reddit
Bro bought overpriced mil-spec for a couple letters
TheStupidStudent@reddit
ParticularOwn7033@reddit
Zero regrets. Posting how much he spent. Showing the AI logs that he got a good deal. I'm not sure what stage of grief this is, but pretty sure we're not out of the denial phase.
pandixios@reddit (OP)
I think sometimes people forget that your reality is not everyone else’s reality. You can make $4K easily in 1 day. You gotta start using the online casinos🤭 don’t do options tho stick to regular stocks at first. #nottradingadvise
Ok_Crab_3522@reddit
The rest of us with 4k of disposable income burning a hole in our wallets aren't dumping it on a substandard pcc that objectively is worse than all of the $3k, $2k, and even some of the $1k options on the market.
Should've gotten an sp5, mpx, or kuna like everybody else looking to buy a pcc.
TacosNGuns@reddit
I run the OG Colt 6450. $800, runs 100%.
Ok_Crab_3522@reddit
like I said, it's 2026. Reliability isn't a feature it's a prerequisite.
PM_ME_FLOUR_TITTIES@reddit
Crazy that someone with all that dough is still spelling "advice" with an s
If only knowing how to spell made me money 😞
map2photo@reddit
I know plenty of dudes making tons of money that can’t spell shit. Go to talk to some aircraft defense contractors. Half of them have a GED.
TacosNGuns@reddit
They should thank the US tax payer. Because otherwise they’d be changing my oil in five minutes or less.
cruisersncans@reddit
Ew. Degenerate gambling.
Admirable_Expert1776@reddit
Wait, buying socks is degenerate gambling? Investing ain't all r/wallstreetbets 😂
hueynot@reddit
He literally said to use an online casino lmao. No hate but in theory you can double your money with one roulette spin!!!
Admirable_Expert1776@reddit
The stock market is regularly referred to as a casino, which is what the original comment did
cruisersncans@reddit
I read the I Irish comment as actual online casinos like poker. But yeah both are gambling.
YuenglingsDingaling@reddit
Yes.
NotTodaySlick@reddit
His (imaginary) wife already told him he's a fucking clown now he's come here to make the rounds!
jimmy_leonard1@reddit
What part of that did you build?
TacosNGuns@reddit
I love “builds” that are 98% picatinny accessories 😂
twojsdad@reddit
I love my PCC, but I only paid $1.3k for it.
FlyingTrimangle@reddit
Damn bro, you could have got a B&T for all that.
skankslayer69@reddit
For real. If you could find one in stock lmao
FlyingTrimangle@reddit
You cant 🤣 These were a limited run, and now B&T separated from USA. Officially unobtainable.
AP587011B@reddit
It’s cool but 4k towards a direct blowback set up?
You coulda had an MP5 or MPX or APC9 or P90
pandixios@reddit (OP)
I do have an MPX and never got used to the shape. I just feel like is too fat. The DDPCC is so slim and it just feels right. All controls etc it’s much easier to transition from my regular AR. Makes my training a lot easier.
MP5 I like it but I wouldn’t own it. I know it’s legendary but I’m good.
beshtiya808@reddit
I make an ok bit of coin now days. Former infantry in peak GWOT years. 5k for an ar….barf
1Crusty_Old_Man@reddit
A BLOWBACK 9mm at that.
LiberalLamps@reddit
He could have had an AP5, AP5P and AP5SD.
LiberalLamps@reddit
OP basically bought two guns he changed so many parts. This is why I prefer to build my own AR’s with the parts I actually want.
pookie_buster@reddit
If I had your money I’d throw mine away 😂😂
vkbrian@reddit
$5500 for an AR9 with a drop-in buffer kit lmao
newjitsu21@reddit
You got robbed lol
JohnT36@reddit
When you decide to sell it let me know, I'd love to see the look on your face when they offer you a crisp $900 for everything pictured lol
Damn thing holds it's value like a gallon of milk
clientnotfound@reddit
'save money on ammo' - buys the most overpriced AR9 because it says Daniel defense on it. Love that logic.
Could've gone with an FM9 and 3 cases of ammo. But hey that wouldn't win you a flex on MT6
kashluk@reddit
Not defending anyone's PCC choices, but at least here where I live ammo is really expensive. The price of .223 is between 50 and 60 cents per round if you buy low-end bulk ammo. You can get 9x19 mm for 30 cents. The price difference starts hitting when your annual ammunition expenditure goes up.
People who actually shoot a lot, like biathlon or other shooting sport athletes, can fire tens of thousands of rounds per year.
clientnotfound@reddit
Sure. But spending 2k+ extra on the gun itself for no performance increase doesn't make sense when there are cheaper alternatives.
LiberalLamps@reddit
OP basically bought two guns he changed so many parts. This is why I prefer to build my own AR’s with the parts I actually want.
spros@reddit
Saves money on ammo cuz you too broke to shoot sfter6
VanillaIce315@reddit
FM9 SBR with Obsidian 9, Holosun ARO, some Magpul furniture, and deadblow buffer/Kynshot spacer/A5 buffer tube. All in around $1700-$1800, and the suppressor gets swapped to multiple guns. Call it $2000 if I wanted a nicer optic.
Not my money, but I certainly wouldn’t spend double the cash for 0.5% increased performance.
hitemlow@reddit
...and then swaps out half the parts.
pittsmasterplan@reddit
*assembly
Ruthless4u@reddit
If I’m dropping $5k I’m getting a Shiloh sharps.
For a PCC I don’t see the value of dropping $5k.
cyan1de23@reddit
JP5 would have been cheaper and far better than this trash. Lmao.
HistoricalNatural944@reddit
This is a 5k build… you over paid somewhere my man.
pheonix080@reddit
He used MSRP to come up with that number, not what he actually paid. Actually, he didn’t even gather the info himself. He asked ChatGPT to spit out an answer and then ran with it.
Also- your build is very nice.
WoodenGlobes@reddit
And to think, all that for a firearm that is as effective as a Glock 19.
Mdmrtgn@reddit
Could build something that would bend that rifle over for like a grand.
ArceusTwoFour_Zero@reddit
"this is a load of barnacles"
pandixios@reddit (OP)
Damn yall a bunch of haters. I just wanted the DD because that shit looks good and wanted something in 9mm so I don’t wear ear pro (subsonic) and “save” on ammo. My budget ain’t your budget. Shittttt
Vegetable-Reporter93@reddit
I like it brother your good don’t waste your time with negativity 💯
HeughJanus@reddit
was there any research into this purchase or did you simply go oo daniel defense, high price means high quality!
DumbNTough@reddit
Woof
red_alert24@reddit
To reach his own, but that ain't above 5k.....
pandixios@reddit (OP)

Why are you judging by "estimated" msrp and not your actual purchasing price? Wouldn't the value be more accurate to state what you paid for it?
GrandioseAnus@reddit
Did you ask chat GPT if you should buy all that shit too?
Hoyle33@reddit
Thanks for making my electricity bill go up
SOSB-Haru@reddit
This shit is so fucking funny
GesuMotorsport@reddit

Uzi_Jesus_@reddit
Im just lost when people have this kind of money to spend on their setup. I am the poors. Can only hope to find your loot drop in the climate wars.
THELEGENDARYZWARRIOR@reddit
Mean Arms roller delayed: $1,500 2 extra lifters so you can tune it: $90 MAUL buffer system: $300
You can use any standard AR lower Endomags or exomags
or ejector less “AR-9” lower
CH-67@reddit
This reminds me of those AR “build” asmr videos on YouTube that have a microphone attached directly to the torque screwdriver
ardesofmiche@reddit
Direct blowback 9mm AR or high spec Gen 3 PVS14???
pandixios@reddit (OP)
It depends. I don’t really hunt and haven’t got into shooting at night a lot (I did liked it). This build is for me to train (cheap ammo) and easily transition to my regular AR. Literally all controls and positions are the same.
ardesofmiche@reddit
Spending $4,000 so you can have cheap ammo is the boy version of girl math lol
pandixios@reddit (OP)
Lmao
ardesofmiche@reddit
I say with a 10/22 I spent like $1,000 on for the same reason
ardesofmiche@reddit
But seriously i do like the AR controls and scorpion mag combo
pandixios@reddit (OP)
Maybe build it. PSA has a very similar option to DD. I just went with buy once cry once.
Nyancide@reddit
mfw you could get 22 lr bolt and mags, that way you are literally using the same gun. and cheaper in every metric possible.
if you just want a gun because its cool, fair enough, but saying you spent 4k to make a 9mm version of your ar to shoot cheaper is just silly. you could just spent 4k on ammo and classes too.
RGBlowMe@reddit
I could buy a decent used car for this.
pandixios@reddit (OP)
Or buy stocks and double your money🤭
BroseppeVerdi@reddit
Or buy a bunch of ill advised options and have to flee to Russia to escape a lifetime of debt slavery
BoxofCurveballs@reddit
I got calls on $SPY so that fucker is guaranteed to drop all next week
truckensafely@reddit
I bought mine for fourteen bills & happy with it.
no-lift@reddit
Guys! My baseball teams bench player just came in and hit a 3 run home run to take the lead against outanhis dodgers
BlueOrb07@reddit
What mags does it use?
NotTodaySlick@reddit
Like 4 hours into the boog some no rear sight ar wielding inbred is gonna sploosh themselves looting that shit off your ass after you peaked a corner just a litttlllleee to much
PuzzleheadedAd6401@reddit
I wish I had 5.5k to flex on the poors.
