Rewatching episode 2 over and over to learn geography. Quite possibly the best learning tool ever created.

Where are you watching it? I would like to share with my daughter.

Tubi

Amazing, Thanks!

Except it's from 1993 and is outdated now... Czechoslovakia is split in 2
Yugoslavia is now 7 separate countries
Kosovo is independent of Serbia
Zaire is now DRC, Swaziland is now Eswatini
South Sudan, Palau, and Eritrea were not part of Yakkos World.
Maps are a better learning tool.

Also, add East Timor to the list.

My son has been watching the show and loves this part. This whole series is available to watch on Tubi

Love the Animaniacs for that.

Is Wakko Tyler Durden?
Echo15charlie@reddit (OP)
Holy fuck, that’s crazy.

I saw him perform it live last year. Freaking awesome.

Fucking amazing.

You didn’t memorize this by buying the CD? Couldn’t be me.

In high school way back in the 90’s in science we had to remember the first 20 elements on the periodic table for some test, so my friends and I used that song and swapped out the country names for the element names. 27 years later I still remember them.

My 9th grade Global Studies teacher played the Countries of the World for us in class back in '93 or '94.
SirStinkfist@reddit
Ive played the wacko 50 states and their capitals jeopardy episode EVERY day coming home from school. My kids can recite it word for word but still can't tell me the state capital of North Dakota if I ask them directly. We are working on that part.
JudgeJuryEx78@reddit
North Dakota is easy. It's South Dakota that's tricky. Pierre isn't even remotely close to an interstate. How do we even know it exists?
Echo15charlie@reddit (OP)
Juneau is the only capital city without a road connecting it to the rest of the world.
Echo15charlie@reddit (OP)
In their defense, North Dakota?

Somehow I never really got into Animaniacs - I knew of them and watched a few episodes, but wasn’t overly familiar with them.
Discovered their Countries of the World song by chance a little while ago here, sung by Ylvis - yes, the same brothers that brought us “What Does the Fox Say”

The capitols.
dewihafta@reddit
Ive recited it on stage before. It was an awesome party trick when it was current. Now my teen is trying to memorize it.
I actually had the book of the sheet music before. Neither my kid or i play any instruments, though, so i ended up giving it to a friend of his who is also an animaniacs fan.
Fun fact: the composer of the series originally wrote it to help his kid out for studying for a school test.

I literally watched this today. Great show!
Reportersteven@reddit
Rob says he got it right it in the first take. Love watching him do it live. They do an Animaniacs in Concert that tours.
Rynoman@reddit
My kids' school was uniforms and 0% pop culture allowed. They were so excited to tell me they got to learn both capitals and countries with the Animaniacs. My wife was in hell since I immediately joined in - for weeks and weeks.
OkTemperature8080@reddit
He can do it from memory and has done it at comic cons many times. I was fortunate enough to see it once in person and I’ve never smiled so big in my entire life
