Should I buy this?

Thinking about buying this 1985 Trans Am for $800 and wanted some opinions.
Garage kept, T-tops, minimal rust from what I've seen, and my brother says it's very drivable with only minor work needed. It did have a mouse nest in the rear at one point, but it appears to have been cleaned up.
Assuming the floors and underside are solid, would you buy it for $800? Any common third-gen Trans Am issues or rust spots I should check before pulling the trigger?

Mine had rust on the A pillars which was not cheap to fix. Honestly this looks like a decent deal. Just make sure you understand this thing will probably need a fair amount of work before it’s reliably drivable.

Mice like to eat wires. It might be more than a little work to get it running. But yeah those were cool back in the day and they handle killer

Yeah id buy that. V8 trans am could be awesome.
If it turns out to actually run and drive you should buy your brother a case of beer or bottle of whiskey in thanks.

I would if I had the space.

I was on board when I figured it had a price tag closer to $2k, just from the pictures. Could be a hidden gem. And I’m not a muscle car guy, at all.
For $800? If it was local, I’d be picking it up today just to see what I got.

looks like a solid buy for $800

Even just from what I see here it's worth $800. If there's really no rust it's probably more of a $2k+ car even not running.

Where's it at? I'll buy it

I mean. That’s an $800 car all day if it really is minimal rust. Especially if it doesn’t have any mouse nests in the harness.
