Anyone witness a white semi truck rear end a white Toyota Tacoma on 35E yesterday around 7:25 between exit 439-440?

This semi truck rear ended me twice in the left hand lane and took off when he said he was going to follow me to the next exit. I got off on Hines and when he didn't follow me I took the 635 so I could snap some pictures.
If anyone has any information please let me know.

All seriousness aside, how ironic! the company name be Super Ego?! Yeah I think so
Ok_Cucumber522@reddit
might be worth checking if any nearby businesses, gas stations, or warehouses along that stretch have cameras pointed toward the frontage road or exits. also if you got even part of the truck number, DOT number, or company name from the photos, that can help track it down pretty fast.
hope someone here saw it, hit and runs with semis are rough.

That's a great idea, I swear I thought I saw the guy today actually. Same truck with the front damaged, same everything including his license plate zip tied to his grill. I pulled up next to him and snapped some pictures and he got off on an exit that made no sense when I pulled up next to him.
I'm not sure if it's hopefulness but I also wouldn't want to accuse the wrong person

i'd send the photos to the police and insurance and let them make the call. if it's the same truck, great evidence. if not, you avoid accusing the wrong guy.

Even if law refuses 2get involved at first, ur insurance company has there own private detectives they use. Believe me, if it means no money out of their pocket, they will find this guy and then the law will have to get involved. My advoce, push your insurance to do something and if they lolly gag, push them harder, let them know you're not willing to let this go..

Why were you going slow enough in the fast lane for a semi to rear end you twice? Why didn’t you speed up after the first time or get over? And why did you take a picture while driving?
Nervous-Matter-1201@reddit (OP)
It was stop and go traffic and I slammed on my brakes after getting hit so I wouldn't rear end the vehicle in front of me.

60 minutes just did a story on this company..
basically they are a chameleon carrier.
from Google
Super Ego was accused of operating a sprawling network tied to dozens of U.S.-based carriers. When a fleet accumulated too many safety violations, it would shut down, change its name, and re-register with the Department of Transportation under a new identity to maintain a clean record.Wage Exploitation: Seven drivers and a whistleblower from a Super Ego-affiliated company in Serbia alleged that management routinely skimmed hundreds to thousands of dollars from drivers’ paychecks using inflated fees, altered delivery contracts, and fake rate confirmation sheets.Forced Rule-Breaking: Dispatchers reportedly pressured drivers to exceed the legal 11-hour driving limit and allegedly manipulated electronic logging devices (ELDs) remotely from overseas to illegally reset time clocks.Current Status: The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) confirmed Super Ego was part of an ongoing investigation. Super Ego Holding has denied all allegations regarding pay skimming and hours-of-service violations, stating they are solely a leasing company and do not control dispatch or driver safety.

I work in the transportation industry.
Super Ego is not a trucking company, they are a truck and trailer leasing company.
So the drivers are not hired, employed by, or connected with Super Ego in anyway besides being a customer.
What you would need to identify who this trucker/driver is, is the MC or DOT # which would be listed on the truck.
Calling Super Ego will likely get you nowhere unless you the trailer #, and even in that case, they would likely not be able to share the company’s information unless compelled to by law enforcement.
This is how Super Ego has dodged responsibility continuously, “we don’t drive the trucks or hire the drivers, we are an equipment leasing company”
If you have any more info or pictures of the truck, DM me and I may be able to help you find more info through various databases.

Jfc that’s crazy lol

That's wild 😳 unless I get lucky I think I'm screwed here

Sorry to pile up on your pessimism, OP -- but in my experience, the cops don't give a shit about hit and runs. I've been rear ended before and the cops don't put even the minimum amount of effort into it, they literally never even showed up when I called.
In a different instance, I had a partial plate and a good description of the car and individual who did it, dashcam footage, perfect details like location, etc. they straight up told me they were not going to investigate.
Nervous-Matter-1201@reddit (OP)
I'm hoping I can give all my information to my insurance company and see if they can help. I'm sure they don't want to pay to fix my truck or my medical bills. Tbh I kinda got that feeling too. The first cop told me I had to drive back and talk to a different cop because it happened in another jurisdiction. At least the second cop called me and I met her to file the report

This is right! A big problem.

djwurm@reddit
your going to have to get a lawyer.. this company is very well known for safety violations and hiding. if you can find someone with video of the incident then that will help.
Nervous-Matter-1201@reddit (OP)
I'm hoping this could get shared around just incase someone has a video. I did get a partial plate and a picture of the driver. I'm definitely going to get a lawyer and I did file a police report. I don't have any other social media so I can't post it to FB or anything.
RichardPainusDM@reddit
Flock cameras on every corner and the police can’t check those after your report?
Nervous-Matter-1201@reddit (OP)
I'm going to follow up on Monday and hope for the best
Insanitacious75@reddit
Just so you know this companies dispatchers are likely not even in the US. So sketchy that there was a recent 60 minutes that featured them. Good luck, but holding them accountable will be a huge pain

I appreciate you for posting. I had cracked my head pretty good and wasn't thinking too clearly in the moment. My fault for believing the guy because that's what I would have done
