AR9 > any other option for your first PCC
If you have an AR9 already, build a nice MP5 clone.
If you've done that already... maybe the Ruger for the novelty of the traditional stock.
A $500 PSA will run till you shoot the barrel out. Reliability isn't a huge issue with them as they're simple blowback. That's why you see so many cheap simple blowback PCCs in general.
You can drop in something like a Matrix roller delay buffer and convert it to a delayed action for under $200, then tune it for a can.
On account of using AR triggers, there are also AR PCC FRT and super safety setups.
