I watched this at first broadcast (in syndication, in USA) and remember the word not being censored. It shocked me because that was back when you could not say that on tv.

It's a joke. There's also one episode of Friends from around that time where Joey says, "Does a bear shit in the woods?" but he says it so fast that it snuck by the censors that were starting slowly to relax about words other then "hell" or "damn" around that time.
