How are people able to afford holidays?

Well, we'd have to critically analyse your expenditure etc because it's very unlikely that the sole reason you can no longer afford holidays is because of a rise in energy, food and transport bills. And even if there is an impact, those are generally things you can cut back on a bit. Use slightly less energy. Shop a bit more frugally. The transport is probably a bit more non-negotiable to be fair. And I bet that you'll have some kind of entertainment-based expenditure each month. A netflix account or some other sub. Maybe a meal out or two etc. In short, you'll very likely have the ability to get £100 a month together if you focused on it. And that, in turn, turns into £1200 after a year and hey presto, an annual family holiday!
