What are some nostalgic things you remember from between 1990 to 2010?

This could be a food, a TV show/movie, an advert, a particular shop, a phrase people said, an item of clothing, a board game, a video game, a song, a childhood book or whatever else you remember. Interested in takes from people of all ages no matter whether you were a child, teen or adult between those years but I’d be curious to know the age you were then too :)

Why such a weirdly specific time period?

Nazis were still seen as bad. Greed wasn’t as rampant. People were friendlier. Insane misinformation wasn’t spread via social media. Affordable housing. Shrinkflation hadn’t really started. I didn’t have a dodgy ankle and shoulder. I wasn’t old and tired.

It didn’t feel like everything was being enshittified.

Going shopping felt like a proper day out back then.
Everything was just that little bit slower and places seemed less busy, so going to the high street or a retail park was something you’d do for a few hours, you’d almost definitely bump into someone you knew. Now it’s in-and-out as fast as possible because everywhere is manic.

My Sagem My-C2 flip phone, it was under £50 in Woolworths and it came with a portable CD player. However it was tiny, it had a colour screen, decent ringtones and some games. I bloody loved it and had I not had trouble finding a new charger for it i'd have used it until it fell apart.
I miss tiny electronics. Once upon a time I had a small phone, a small MP3 player and it was bliss, now I have a large phone, a second smaller phone (sans SIM card) I use for FLAC files as it has an SD card slot and my main phone doesn't, i have some small earbuds too and so it's better than when I carried a CD player, batteries and a CD wallet around but an internet connected phone with a large screen is far too useful to want to actually go back to a basic flip phone.

I've seen so many things lately that I won't drag up the usual stuff. But for some reason, I instantly remembered all those blow up sofas/chairs with cup holders etc.
I aaaaalways wanted one! One of the many things I'd circle in the Argos catalogue
