WW2 was won exclusively by the Red Army and the British. The Soviets definitely weren't propped up by Lend Lease and the British weren't a minority on the battlefield whose stupid tactics prolonged the war on multiple occasions. The USA, who definitely did not make up 75% of Allied soldiers in the Western Front and 95% of soldiers in the Pacific Theater, were a bunch of stupid racist losers who showed up late and didn't help at all
Hi, I'm Tom Hanks, and I've definitely never visited Little St. James
That is not true at all lmao, except arguably in the case of China. And you didn't "provide it", you sold it with the expectation of repayment. Which we did, over the course of around 80 years. Even if the terms were generous basically nothing the US did during the second world war was done on the basis of anything besides blatant self interest.
Do you not understand what the word "free" means? Aren't you supposed from the land of the free or something? Is that why you guys regularly run 5 figure credit card debt lmao?
Hopefully, one of the good things that will come out of the Russia-Ukraine War is the eternal shattering of the "Ha ha smug Americans, everyone knows that it's the Soviets that beat the Nazis" notion that this article is based on. Setting aside the total complicity of the Soviets in helping the Germans to dismember Poland in 1939 and attack themselves in 1941, without massive American (as you noted) and British aid Moscow would have fallen in 1941 and the Soviets would have sued for peace in 1942.

How magnanimous of the US to sell weapons and join the war years after it started only when they were directly attacked.

Found the reddit pop historian lol
With Lend Lease, we basically supplied 100% of Britain's, Russia's, and China's materiel and oil for free before we officially entered the war
