Best alternatives to Sheppard?

I’m taking my FOI + FIA soon and I need to start studying. I bought the Sheppard packs and they wouldn’t install on my computer. Called Sheppard support and spent an hour and a half on the phone with them but we couldn’t figure it out. They refunded the money to me snd apologized.
What are some alternatives to Sheppard air? I know nothings gonna replace the GOAT but what’s the next best option?

What operating system were you attempting to install it on?

You need an iPad anyway. Buy one and then install Shep.

Buy or borrow an iPad

Doesn’t it run on iPhone too?

I actually asked this a couple of months ago, and I believe they told me it does not. Only iPad

Replace it with….
Sheppard Air

Install it on any other device. There is no alternative!

Do Sheppard on your phone then.

Not sure how many will agree with me but I used the Gleim study books for all of my written tests and I’ve done well. It’s the entire test bank of the respective exams plus basic overviews of the required knowledge split into chapters. Just make sure you buy an up to date edition

If you really have to get an alternative - ASA Prepware. Recommend buying an iPad (even older used model) for Sheppard though...

Buy/download the Flight Instructor Handbook, PHAK, AFM, ACS, and read and study the material.
I used Gleim’s red book and King’s free online practice test for seven tests. I used SA for ATM and the SA method for all five of my FCC exams.

Stay with Sheppard, find a different solution to the technical problems.

If you scored a mid to high 90% on your CAX you should be able to pass the FIA without studying.
For the FOI read the aviation instructor handbook and take notes.

Buy an iPad, run Sheppard on it. Money well spent.

Honestly I’d buy an IPad just for the Sheppard air…

The actual FAA publications are a good choice. Use the ACS to guide making flash cards.
