Border crossing

Hi everyone!
At the end of June, I’m planning to travel from Turkey into Bulgaria and then continue driving within the Schengen Area. Could anyone recommend which border crossing is usually the best option?
I’d also appreciate any advice on timing — whether there are certain times of day, days of the week, or general travel patterns that tend to result in shorter waiting times. And if anyone has experience with any Turkey–Bulgaria border crossing, not necessarily the exact route I’ll be taking, I’d be very interested to hear your insights.
We’re hoping to avoid the extreme 10–15 hour queues if possible, so any tips, recommendations, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Why don't you go Greece and move to Bulgaria from there?
There is no rush or Turks using this border to get home and after that you can go Bulgaria-Romania-Hungary

Dereköy is usually calmer, Kapıkule has more truck traffic, but unless you are going to Burgas and coastal regions, Dereköy would be a big detour. Neither are congested usually though.
My biggest advice, keep some baklava or similar. Bulgarian police are notorious for harassing foreign licence plates for bribes, offering them sweets instead might get you off the hook without playing actual money.
I've never used Dereköy personally, and i drove to Bulgaria just once so can't really recommend much.
